UNBELIEVABLE!! THEY SWARMED...AND WE CAUGHT THEM!!!
What happens here
After successfully transferring the majority of the bees into the box, the beekeeper secures the hive by carefully placing the inner cover and then the outer lid on top. He then takes a wad of grass and tucks it into the entrance of the hive. This grass serves two purposes: to signal to the bees that they are in a new location and to encourage them to reorient themselves to their new home, preventing them from flying back to their previous temporary spot on the tree. He also uses a white board to gently nudge any remaining bees on the outside of the hive towards the entrance.
Goal: Enclose the bees in their new hive and encourage full entry.
