Excavation of Perimeter Trenches
At 0:31 in
Uh oh, looks like we got lost and started demoing someone’s front yard… 😬#demoday #outdoorliving
What happens here
With the concrete fully removed, the mini excavator is now used to dig trenches along the perimeter of the house, specifically around the foundation. The operator skillfully excavates the soil to create a deep and uniform trench. The excavated soil is carefully placed alongside the trench, creating neat piles ready for backfilling or removal. This trench is essential for installing a new drainage system, such as a French drain, or for performing foundation waterproofing. The final aerial shot (0:39.900-0:44.820) provides a clear overview of the completed demolition and excavation, showing the well-defined trenches around the house.
Goal: Dig trenches around the house foundation for drainage or waterproofing.
