UFP Edge Ceiling Install
What happens here
Continue the installation process by systematically adding successive rows of wood planks. For each plank, ensure the tongue-and-groove connection fits tightly into the previous plank to minimize gaps. It is often beneficial to have two people for this step: one to hold and gently tap the plank into place for a tight fit, and another to secure it to the ceiling joists with a nail gun. As you progress, you may need to make specific cuts around electrical boxes for ceiling fans or recessed lighting, which requires precise measurements and careful cutting with a miter saw or jigsaw. Repeat this process until the entire ceiling area is covered with planks.
Goal: Completely cover the ceiling with wood planks, ensuring tight fits and secure fastening.
