all right let's see how we're going to take this off well it's not going to be the right way because right after I take it off the trailer I flipped it right down onto the ground and then dropped it two more times before Ragin from bare Iron Works finally showed me the right way to handle it I think what we're going to end up doing is forking it right from the top putting the forks right there so there actually is a right way to do this and it's not what you're seeing right here they actually have dedicated Clips so that you can take a bucket you don't have to switch to Forks so when you're screening with this thing you never have to switch attachments you can just take your dirt bucket that you're working with and put it right into the contraption there and pick it up and haul it away no forking allow don't Fork these freckers [Music] heavy and he rolling now without a little [Music] assistance again wrong way to carry this but I didn't know any better and we are going to learn together when the guy that and built these things shows up and teaches us [Music] if you're wondering why we backed up that's what happens when you stop driving and you start talking and you get [Music] old [Music] I'm [Music] I I just heard some of you guys go oh my God why is he doing that I just like driving backwards I guess I'm like tomater [Music] so if you keeping score I dropped this thing twice and I still haven't put it to work yet or even begun to make it pay for itself luckily make the these things dirt monkey proof but it goes back to what I saying it's not designed to be moved with forks it's actually meant to be moved with the same bucket that you use to sift the soil with luckily they build them tough and the diamond se's Built Tough yeah did the diamond C take any damage no you left some blue paint that's about as much as you did damage to it that'll buff right out yeah darn stubby Forks are worse than a short handled shovel all right I'll see you back at the place all right guys I'm here with Ragin Ragin what do you do for Bear works so at be Iron Works we make some different products for the construction industry but our Flagship line of products is the Grizzly Rock screen okay this one here is our cub and this is our most popular model it's made for use with skid steers and you make three models and I picked this one cuz it's the easiest one to put on a trailer you could even put this in the back of a pickup truck right yeah and actually we make four models there's one even smaller than this that's made for the use with yard tractors and ride on skid steers same concept we build it for all sizes of equipment all the way from that little right on skid steer all the way up to a full size loader and I've already told Ragin how I've screwed this thing up I I've dropped it twice I've owned it for I've touched it for five minutes and dropped it twice because I'm doing it wrong I found out right so you don't want to actually pick a Grizzly up with forks on like a forklift the only time you should be doing that is sometimes these will be shipped in a van trailer and they'll come want a pallet and you'll pick the pallet up with forks but the grizzly itself is actually meant to be picked up with a bucket and the screens too right and the screens too so these are all designed to go on top of the grizzly so you can change your screen size they're really fast to swap out and you use The Cutting Edge of your bucket to actually swap these screens out with the um and overlay it on top of the grizzly here okay so that you can get different screen sizing without having to mess with bolts and pins and locking mechanisms you can do it all from the seat of your equipment right yeah so if I want to go from so this is the base screen size yes and this is great for filtering out and we're going to actually need that when we make black dirt uh because we've got a lot of rope we've got a lot of turf this is where and you got bigger Stones so this is great for getting you know the 3-in material out right yep yep and this so these will range from 3 to 6 in or you know whatever size you might need we can set it up however but we we we use a solid steel rail here so it's heavy duty you know it's really abrasive resistant and it lets us get really hot welds so it lets us get really good strength into the frame and so that's where all the strength comes from so you can screen off big rocks you can screen Boulders with these and it's going to take the BR of the impact into the rails and absorb that energy the other options out there is they use either Hollow pipe and they have tack welds Hollow pipe is just going to give you a small attack weld you're going to get deflection in the pipe sometimes they use angle iron like this but they put it on the side those tend those welds tend to break yeah the theory is why they use like angle iron is cuz it's on a triangular pitch so that makes it funnel right but angle iron doesn't have any bracing on the bottom side so the the actual legs of the angle iron will deflect in and because it's a funnel your rocks will funnel into that it'll deflect and it will wedge and then your rocks will get stuck in there pinch in there right and then your that angle iron is going to twist to form you're not going to be getting screen size so that's why we do the solid steel because it can take a it can take a solid impact we can get a strong weld on there and it's a smaller um size than like the alternative which would be like holot tubing and so that allows us to have a good effective screening area while not compromising on strength all right and we've got EG uh we're going to be building road base for shanga douche we're got uh down there we're going to be working and then we're going to be scre screening black dirt we've got two screen sizes and the first thing we got to do is learn how to pick this thing up the right way so let's do that now sounds you know I say everything happens for a reason and I show everything in my videos even the stupid stuff I do like rolling a brand new screener right off from a trailer and I'm like what I wonder why that happened because I mean I know how to do that better it just happened and some things happened just because they happen and it didn't click on me till right now I stand here with roin I'm thinking well wait a minute maybe it was meant to happen so that these guys when they're using theirs can understand don't do this do that right right so that's it now we're going to move it the right way so let's do it I'm going to I took the forks off I'm going to put my buck it on and we'll see how this [Music] works and then you'll pick up and curl out and then curl away from [Music] you I got to admit that works a lot better than what I did yep got to admit that works a lot better than what I did all right so I'm going to put that Top Ridge right there the bucket underneath that bar right there curl the bucket down capture it I can't see diddly squat neither can you that's what makes running equipment kind of fun sometimes you just can't see anything and there you go and that's it now she's good to [Music] go Okay so before we begin we got a plan right because we need the access to the both front and back of this machine right cuz when you're working with a screening operation you're really looking at cycle times cycle times are important for efficiency especially if you're doing this professionally and so we want to think about where we're going to put the grizzly compared to our source material compared to where we might be loading out a dump truck and to where we're going to push the waste material the stuff that we don't want where we're going to get rid of this so we're going to harvest is this material over here cuz this is our most grest best material everything else out here is pure sugar sand but that means I got a bit of work to do cuz we've got a burn pile here this is on level so before we can even begin the process let's begin the step before we begin [Music] working [Music] all right you guys may have noticed on my channel I always try to bring people in as guests and what I do is I mean I've been a contractor my entire life I know how to run equip and I know how to do all this stuff but I don't know everything and I've never claimed to and I always love learning and I've already learned something today I set the screener up on my own like this my my material that I'm going to screen is over here and the material I want to save is over here and I was going to load from this way and Rogan you told me that I got it B Awards yeah so it's not necessarily right or wrong but it's really kind of dependent on what material you're trying to achieve so the material that's going to go on this side side of the screen is what we're what is the minus material right because this is a 3-in screen so this is 3in minus that's what's going to fall through so we're going to screen from the top basically we're going to come in from this side yep and we're going to dump from the back side over and everything that we don't want to keep is going to go on the opposite side and the stuff we want to keep is going here yep and I had it bass outwards so let's flip it around and so yep and what we're going to do we're going to double screen today yep so when we want the minus material we're going to come from this side but when we want the plus material the stuff that goes on the other side we're going to screen from the other side because we want the material that we want in our bucket the desired material to be closest to the machine when it falls through right okay that makes sense all right well let's switch things around and then let's start all right we're going to go put our first screen on right yes all right we're going to get the 1 and 1/2 in [Music] screen hey Ro which side goes where so this is the top here so the with just one Hook is the top you'll come in from that side [Music] there and now it's ready to go did that right yep all right I think we're ready to start making material right yeah yep it's ready to [Music] go [Music] this is just dang good pipe betting sand I could see where if you're a utility contractor having one of these little bad boys on site save you so much in just importing beding [Music] [Applause] [Music] only thing that seems to be plugging up is some Grassroots here these are the things that are kind of catching on these cross rails but think we should switch screens yeah let's go ahead all right guys so we've got two piles we've got screened and unscreened material this is what we've screened out so far but we're going to do something a little different and then here's the screen material over there I'm going to pop this off and just let the grizzly run bare naked no screens on it and I'm going to filters through that and see what's left behind here's the filtered stuff right here the screen material already brought down to a great size just using the first primary screen all right guys let's switch screens really yeah let's take a look at what we got on like a baseball field or something that's pretty fine stuff yeah that's uh so that's been ran through the final screener there is nothing in in that I mean definitely definitely does a good job of sorting and separating so still got some sand so I was telling my video that I was taking that it's because it's wet and because it's such a fine screen right we're seeing it pile up a little bit yep and so some things that we can do is we we can try to slow that feed rate and just try to slowly get that that soil to kind of roll across there give it more opportunities right cuz the less we feed hopefully the less will pile up all at once M the other thing is is like you're doing you're hitting the removable screen you're playing with the slack that we have built in there to pop it up to try to jerk it and knock it down um it wouldn't this wouldn't be happening if it wasn't so wet you're right the wetness is what's really killing us here and so if you have wet like if this is the type of material you're screening you're trying to screen small stuff get that down to that sand and it's wet I highly recommend putting a vibrator on a unit like this cuz then is that an option mhm okay so you can put a vibrator on her and she'll she'll take care of everything for you and you don't have to plug it into a generator or a 110 power volt uh power source and it'll vibrate the whole screen and it'll just kind of shake it and so wet fine material will fall through it won't pile up as bad okay yep makes sense that makes total sense all right you guys it worked phenomenal for creating bedding sand for utility contractors but in the next video we're going to tackle the absolute worst dirt that I have on the farm and try to turn that into black gold and this screener this is where this thing just shines that's the results are I mean I was expecting here and the results we got were unreal I can't wait to show you that so I'm actually just going to release it right away I'm just boom boom boom boom like butterfly thing like a bee boom yep so anyway stick around cuz tomorrow More's coming hit that subscribe button hit that like button share this with your grandma your grandma loves my videos so share this with your grandma make sure you do that for me please and that's it for this one hope you guys enjoyed the ride today catch you guys later God bless go get them
