Trying Something New Today on the Farm!
What happens here
The presenter explains that the farm uses composted wood chips, which have been rotting for 7-8 months, to amend the soil. He highlights the "black gold" quality of the compost and its benefits for soil moisture retention and carbon content. He then shows the large pile of wood chips, explaining that they are obtained for free from a local landscape company. He then drives a Gehl RT210 skid steer with a large Raptor Attachments litter bucket to the pile, ready to load the manure spreader.
Goal: Load the manure spreader with composted wood chips.
