With the cab tilted, use a bright flashlight to inspect the hydraulic pump and surrounding lines for any signs of fluid accumulation or active leaks. The creator identifies a hose connected to the John Deere hydraulic filter as potentially newer and covered in fluid. To confirm, the skid steer is briefly started. Moving the suspect line causes a spray of hydraulic fluid, confirming it as the leak source. The fluid also sprays onto the alternator's belt system, causing the battery light to flicker.
