TPS sensor swap in 16 secs! #autorepair #diagnostics #enginetrouble #diyauto

What happens here

Locate the old Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on the vehicle's throttle body. Using a ratchet wrench equipped with the appropriate specialized bit (which is often a Torx bit for many TPS sensors), unbolt the old sensor from its mounting points. Once the bolts are removed, carefully pull the old sensor straight out of the throttle body.

Goal: Detach and remove the existing faulty TPS sensor

Tools and materials

  • Ratchet Wrench — Loosening and tightening the bolts for the TPS sensor
  • Specialized Bit — Fitting the specialized bolts that secure the TPS sensor
