good morning evening or afternoon you guys today we're going to be checking out one of the three sima snow and ice management shows that are touring the country today looking for the newest innovations for you snow fighters out there and today's video is brought to you by lmn software these guys send me out in search of the latest and greatest the best tools gear and equipment to help you contractors take your business to the next level and so today i'm out here and we're going to be going exploring and seeing what we can find howdy so let's just get this show going [Music] so these guys don't know it you guys employ 500 or 1500 people during the snow removal season you're 1500 feet not your manufacturer no just snow fighters just snow fighters over 1500 guys you take and tip it down you scoop into your salt pile yep shake it back that fills it up now your operator is running out and he's salty braided led lighting in the front of the bucket yep led lighting on the sides of the bucket as well as strobe warning lights then have a display unit right up here in the corner okay show you what the spinner is running at what the auger's running at what each side is running at you also turn on and off your lights and your strobes with that controller as well i see you don't have ears connected to the machine but no we do not have it going through the machine because we run our separate with our controller okay and i think it's important to it it hooks up nice in the cold weather even under pressure i mean this is nice on a hot day but when it's cold you got gloves on that coupler just sucks the hydraulics right on and when you want to go from snow plowing to salting you can switch in a matter of five minutes i've got the million dollar question for you though john let me have it stan what's the price that's something you'd have to discuss with a salesman so this unit you actually want to go to your uh dealer but retail on this unit right now is in the low 20s low 20s okay so i mean if you guys are looking at going everything that's the complete setup this has a skid plate and then obviously there's some but this replaces a truck replaces a truck and how much money you spend on a truck for insurance another operator registration the other thing too john you know how many times are we salting like a walmart or a high uh slip and fall risk and you salt them once at six and the store manager calls you again at nine ten o'clock when that truck's not even in route the operator can go from plowing hook up and uh salt the front of the store or assault after a car or truck moves um so and i think it's important too you can spread 60 foot with this uh unit it'll spread out 30 feet on either side and you can salt to walmart if you look at your area right here stand from curb to herb this unit can go right down the center and bounce salt off of both of those curves not just trickle it to the edge it will be bouncing off and it's such an even spread from there to there yep we used several of these galvanized units last year and they look as good as the day they went out yeah very good that's the double down new by arctic john thank you sir thank you sam nothing new in the plow end of it working on a couple things we'll get back to you on those i know what they are real men wear pink [Laughter] bryson how are you doing buddy i mean i interrupt you guys how are you guys doing good so there she is that's the new one that's the new one that's the new dog huh look at that okay the money maker this right here this right here with the cutting edge okay as you can see there's a hole here obviously don't put your finger in there but that's our active cutting edge okay other plows you know you get say over there you got 11 feet uneven terrain you got half the blade sticking off the ground yeah same thing with our back plate you're 16 feet you got half the blade sticking off the ground this so you have more blade in contact with the ground which leaves you with a cleaner scrape which then optimizes the full width of the blade so that you're actually improving your productivity guys i'd like to introduce you to rick he's the guy that invented all of these snow powers and this is rick's protege his son his the pride of his loins bryson this looks like this has been changed a little bit from the snow power design or is that now the same as the the back plates no power no it's it's in essence different cylinder wise but yes this uh this is what we call loser yes the bell crank and this is the dog bone so this bell crank yes is the same with our back blade okay the dog bone same with our back foot the cylinder not so much we have oil pushing it out nitrogen pulling the wing back what yes so when you hit a curb say 10 miles an hour so with our backlight it's oil return you open the valve you know because you hit your pressure release this is just nitrogen you can move nitrogen a lot faster in oil so it's more forgiving yes so you're getting more less damage to the plow less damage to the truck and the operators have are less likely to put their forehead into the steering wheels is that right yes am i am i hit my nail in it okay cool yep so the wing is just gonna come straight back you don't have to you're not gonna worry about blowing a hose or anything because it's you're moving nitrogen nitrogen is so easy to move versus oil and the same thing these are cylinders as well this is how we trip the blade we trip it with nitrogen again so we're in plow mode right now yeah okay we want to go down the road what i meant by trip all we do is we can physically we can trip the plow and we're going to transport mode right now okay [Music] see that that's wow mode now when we go to transport mode [Music] there's going to be 50 of them just in case we could available this year okay and certain areas so you guys can service them right i've got incredible dealers okay and they'll just be the few that have it and then i can control it because if there is any down time i want to be able to get right on it and i want to learn from it because we only had last year to beat it up and we're there's different manholes everywhere or whatever it is so we want to be able to take care of it and learn from it so we can keep building them better i'm not saying this is the best because it takes time to get the best but it's working great i just want it better i love this guy he's so awesome he doesn't have to do this stuff you guys if you don't know who he is he does not need to do this he does this because he likes to do it that's the only reason you know rick he does not need to do this but he can't shut his brain off and another thing is we do not have the overhead lights we can drive down the road i was just looking at that rick i'm like look it you got a nice low profile led light right there don't walk in front of my own camera um do you guys have a price point figured out on it yet 12 grand now quick big question does this replace the back blade no no okay the back plate you can always drive forward and you can trim around the light holes like you show up in your videos yeah where this still you have to kind of drive around to get around a light oh it's not as maneuverable to trim around things so and for driveways how can you beat the backlash drivers with the front blade well yes but it doesn't have the wings it's not 16 foot this is 12 foot 12. all right well only reason i'm saying it's because now i can see guys being able to more comfortably pull right up to a garage door absolutely lay this bad boy down and back drag away uh so yeah i see what i see where this thing could definitely be so we have down pressure huh okay not only do i see the front i also see the blades the active wings so you're right it will do better than normal on a driveway and our rake angle is more straight up and down so it will clean better in reverse than any other front plow also understood thank you now i'm washing my hands [Music] asmr [Music] i don't crap that some people like it like millions of people [Music] i just like to get my shoes clean in the men's bathroom cage has one of the coolest booths ever and this is the guy that invented it how are you doing good stanley how are you good good to see you again do you have anything new this year that we could show these guys yeah we do um for starters we've got that big mammoth plow up there on the top okay um our biggest foul used to be the snow storm system here okay we now have a snow dozer snow dozer holy crap aptly named because of the way the knuckle on the oscillation works in the back you'll have to check that out okay so this is actually a section right here this will be a section yeah so this is a three foot version we also make a two foot version and we couldn't fit it all in the trailer okay so you take this and you build your plow to the size that you want based on how many sections you have so a three foot section plus a three foot section is this permanently built or is this like if i if i put this on a big loader but then i got a smaller loader and i want a smaller one to do that i mean you're over here if you decide well i want to put this on a smaller loader or a larger loader you could definitely buy another section or okay a section off you were saying something about the knuckle yeah the knuckle right behind here so is this this is this the same one no no okay so we call it a dozer because it's modeled after a bulldozer type dirt blade okay so this pin down here is actually there's a little bit of slop there's this big fat three and a half inch steel block that's got machined machined oval into it basically so that pin is allowed to slop back and forth and the unique oscillation bit on this plow is that it also allows you to adjust the cutting edge and the i'll call it the drift so you can actually lean this paw forward by adjusting this top link yeah and thereby turn it yeah thereby tip your plug forward um for more of a plowing application okay so if you're doing a runway or just a lot of angle blading you want that power to tip forward a little bit like a highway truck paw always leaning pretty far forward they have a nice big curl yep but if you've got a snow pusher application you can actually tip it backwards where it's more vertical you've got a nice heart cut that's going to let that snow roll right up and just build and build and build is there anything else new by you guys whether it's snow plowing or a grading bar or you know yeah that's brand new too just a couple months ago we released that it's pretty unique can we look at it yeah all right so any skid steer is going to have that boom ability the boom movement to tip this forward and hit this foot pedal and it retracts or activates the teeth may you can manually adjust it just by tipping your grader bar forward you can lift your rakers up how do you un how do you put them back down it's got a very unique latching mechanism that's right over here right here see look at the star gear so it's a set reset okay what it's a set reset so you hit it once they're up they're latched you hit it again they go down what do you what do you mean you hit it again the foot tip oh your foot pedal tip it forward and just hit it and it will spring back to where it was before it it stops up right okay so it's a latch it's going to latch and then you reset it again you hit them again and it'll let them down and over and over and over again the other thing so in combination with that this rips forward yeah and the teeth when they're activated they actually can float up now they're not floating and latching up they're actually floating backwards just a little bit so you can rip going forwards and then back up and the teeth actually ride up a little bit and you're able to feather it out so it's ripped feathered done tough all right thanks mike all right appreciate it yeah enjoy the rest of the show when when and where will this stuff be available uh the grading bar and the wing line are available as we speak um the snow dozer product um we are taking some orders this year um this is kind of a pre-release so stanley's got the cue on that but um we're gonna we're gonna have these ready for about october 15th but we have a very limited quantity of those so how many call us i don't know okay there's limited quantities everywhere you guys i mean when it boils right down to it i went to chipotle for lunch the other day and the restaurant was closed because they didn't have anybody to work and i'm like yeah i mean everything is limited so i mean we're it's across all industries right now so yeah all right next okay what are we looking at with this atom so for the 2278 new this year we came out with the dual auger machine you can see we got two augers on it what that helps is that you got two three feet of snow grab that front better exactly right the sun shines down turns into ice on top it's soft on the bottom now we're able to eat through that ice dude you just went to a three-stage snow blower on a skid loader we did so what this does is this allows the snowblower to actually tip forward you can go right up to a garage door you can back drag away and then you can snow blow away watch this thing go forward now is this an option adam that the dual stage is a standard now this is option so we still have our single auger okay we have the option for the dual lock we're went in with customers with big snow with the dual auger and it runs off from one motor okay so if you look so the main motor is right there and then they've got the chain drive on the second stage is hooked up so you're not running multiple motors on this thing exactly right side fins onto the machine now so if you're blowing in the frontward position you can drive faster it's holding more snow inside the box oh you're not losing it off the side correct that's new option or standard standard standard feature i love standard features that just make it better without making it overly complicated or raising the price too much little things like this go a very very long way in product improvement what we've done stanley is we've eliminated have to get in other options here one choice is a single auger and other than that everything comes standard on the machine so you're ready to go put your best foot forward where are these available and how much they cost uh we're available direct to the consumer on the internet so contact us at muskoxmn.com okay and we'll ship them out to you uh we have two different prices we're eleven thousand nine ninety five for our single auger or twelve thousand nine ninety five for our duel what's the mn for uh minnesota you like that statement oh yeah you're a homecoming good good old minnesota boy yeah sure yeah yeah yeah we make the we make the good stuff up here don't you know this is the land of snow and ice in 10 000 lakes and a lot of loons is this made by cushman no this is a holder holder okay christine's our dealer here oh cushman is your deal okay i saw cushman you've got operator you know and three and a grass from the side so yes sir so comparing this to a skid steer look at where you get in a skid steer you climb over your attachment you've got poor visibility with this tractor you in and out through the side so safe entry and exit visibility attachments and another big difference of this versus a skid steer loader skid steers typically have a travel speed of seven miles per hour yup so you have to trailer it from side to side this machine street legal runs 25 miles per hour what yeah do you get to have a license for it then no no it's considered a tractor 20 body you heard him right and his articulated steering so it split in the middle so if you're operating on turf you're not tearing up the ground uh not only does it articulate but it oscillates at the hitch so it turns and twist better contact with the ground yeah and look at the i'm going to close this door just real quick sir and look at the visibility an operator can see just about anything they want or need to and check this out you can see right straight down to the front edge of your blade look at that i'm sitting back where i normally would be operating and i can see both so they got the window slots cut out very good what is this called again this is a holder multi-purpose tractor um comes in three three size categories got a 45 horsepower okay kubota powered gasoline this is a 70 horse kubota powered diesel okay then we have a hundred and 130 horse versions so we've got small medium and then a large category so this is the middle size uh white bank the hydraulics you've got all your standard fuel connections you have four control functions got high flow and then you also have a pto that's for high demand attachments like explorer's pto driven so with the 70 engine horse and that pto you're pushing about 55 horsepower what does a bare bones unit like this one cost uh just just the machine yeah i looked at about 120. they've got a very long life about a typically 10 to 15-year lifespan and so you if my dad heard you say that was a long life he would probably say oh that's an amp it depends yes yes so true with almost anything in this day and age right maintain it and run longer thank you sir i never did catch your name dave nice to meet you dave thank you dave guys i want you to meet bert bert and i we go way back going so far back like three weeks ago absolutely we were actually what was the name of that event it was the minnesota sports turf management association i believe correct that's correct yeah yeah and bert and i were just covering something new coming out by cub cadet but we can't talk about it nope nope we cannot until warned to secrecy sworn to secrecy until the g.i.e that's when the big releases that's right so be looking for that for sure but we're here at sema today and we ran into each other again simon always corrected me yeah yep all right see how we go when you go back as far as burton will go we almost finished each other's words yes [Laughter] thanks bert thank you all right thought i was looking at a metal plus at first but i'm actually looking at an hla so let's take a quick peek around this plow now it's my understanding that nothing has changed on them but we're just taking a look at them i know some of you guys run hla and you will you guys are just adamant your fans you love these things good shoes right here uh are those wear plates or what are those i don't i don't quite know but look at this system right here this is the main control body right there main control valve looks like here's the re that's probably a relief valve up on top for the wing whether i'm right or wrong i don't know but uh you guys can tell me more about the hla you guys that run them that love them love to hear what your guys's thoughts are on this so we've got a motor boom right here for each of the side wings mounted right there oh good anything new by fisher um actually yes right now here salt boxes are something new so okay we're doing those in four different sizes and then we came out not this particular utv but we came out with a a smaller utv blade and then on the back we've got the utv drop spreader the uh oh utvs okay so we're looking at new utv equipment trail commander this is a 2.5 cubic foot spreader so you've got three different hitch mounts a hitch just hooks right into the hitch and then it just secures back here this has got to be one of the smaller units the smallest unit yes yeah two and a half cubic foot it's got the latches on here so [Music] stainless steel all the way full cab one of the things i want to look at on this unit is the ventrac units uh their pt are not pto they're belt driven units but don't let that slow you down they're actually i've used them they're they've got a great system they've got here's their sidewalk unit on the back looks like it's stainless steel probably got an auger right…
