What happens here
Locate the track tensioning mechanism, usually a grease fitting or a bolt-and-nut assembly, on the track frame. For most mini skid steers, you'll need a grease gun to relieve tension. Connect the grease gun to the fitting and remove grease until the idler wheel slides inward, loosening the track. If it's a bolt system, carefully loosen the adjustment bolts. This step is crucial to create enough slack to remove the old track and install the new one.
Goal: Loosen the track to facilitate removal and installation.
