What happens here
David Merendino from Power Probe introduces two tools to fix parasitic draw issues in vehicles. The first is the PPDRaw (Draw Monitor), which connects to a vehicle's 16-pin diagnostic connector and measures parasitic draw. It allows for live monitoring of amperage. The second tool is the Fuse Monitor, a diagnostic probe that sets fuse type and rating, then measures current flow through individual fuses. These tools help pinpoint the exact circuit causing excessive battery drain. An important feature is that the PPDRaw allows for battery cable disconnection without losing power to the vehicle, preventing system resets and saving diagnostic time.
Goal: Efficiently diagnose and pinpoint parasitic battery drains in modern vehicles without resetting onboard systems.
