What happens here

The video begins with the painter actively applying a coat of paint to the fireplace surround using a cordless handheld paint sprayer. The surrounding areas, including the floor, the inside of the firebox opening, and the top of the mantel, are already meticulously masked off with blue painter's tape and protective paper/plastic sheeting to prevent overspray. The painter moves the sprayer with consistent, overlapping passes to ensure uniform coverage on the vertical surfaces of the fireplace structure.

Goal: Apply an even first coat of paint to the main body of the fireplace surround.
