What happens here
The design creatively incorporates extensive landscaping around the perimeter of the patio and between its various sections, featuring a diverse selection of plants, shrubs, and trees to enhance natural beauty and provide privacy. A key aspect of this design is the strategic utilization of the backyard's existing slope. Instead of simply leveling the ground, the design introduces multiple step-down elevations, most notably in the fire pit area, which is positioned at a lower level than the primary patio space. This multi-level approach is achieved through the use of retaining walls, which not only manage the changes in elevation but also add significant visual structure and define the different outdoor living zones. Walkways are designed to flow organically through these stepped sections, resembling a natural river, further integrating the patio with the landscape.
Goal: Enhance aesthetic appeal with varied plantings and creatively utilize the backyard's natural slope to create multi-level patios.
