the Titan I'm saying I'm going to talk about choosing the right products yes because um we live and die by the products we use you can need the best painter but if you're using products that are not good you will lose money and so um this is it's very rare that this happens to us where we lose money but I think last week we had a job where we lost money and we still have to go back to go back even though we've lost money and Lori and the reason the reason why we lost money was because of the product so yeah it was not a great product so well because the customer had the product we haven't used it for years and we thought you know what that's what were power about testing out products and we wanted to see is this product better than why we don't use it and you found out it's not better um it's I found out it was terrible it was say III mean the product I use I just I mean I don't know if i should say the name cuz I don't like I don't like to do is say bad stuff about other people's companies because the companies are just trying to make a living too and pay their bills and but this product now I don't I mean on Instagram oh my gosh it should even be I mean it shouldn't be on the Shelf I mean it real I just for nothing I mean it's really good for brush it's I would say really good but like if you're brushing a windowsill it's kind of it's decent for brushing but other not it's a couple not so good so I mean so what on this case so just so Laura Mickens what type of product that paint brush so in sort of sure Williams pretty gray go and kills people are saying I mean the product is I mean I'll say I mean I have to say cuz that I I mean this is not what we're about is it informing you and helping you guys so we don't have to go through or you don't have to go through the troubles we went through and here John and I are professional painters we've been spraying a lot of different coatings for a lot of years and there's nothing harder to spray nothing more of a nightmare than this and it's Pro classic from Sheryl random bounces Pro classics too ready to spray suggesting oh my gosh but so here in and I know some people I tried even brushing it and it still it will not hang it runs so oh my gosh and it doesn't cover very well I'm the coverage is just not good there's just so many issues with it it doesn't dry very fast which is why you're kind of life you were to brush a windowsill and levels out really good because it's so dry so slow but I was literally paying paying for everybody just to watch paint dry on that I mean the back and we still have to go back because it and I think I said I don't know at what point I mean I said in one of the the shows I had that it was on it literally the trim package I sprayed that day was the worst I've ever done in my life and it was worse than the first day I sprayed and I sprained it all I thought as like it looks really good and about five minutes later it ran everywhere everywhere it was unbelievable I mean a lot of people that are saying this spray say they don't like it for spraying um but I think the thing is is you know that's what we live and die by your product one guy was just saying yeah when I says he puts eb and pro classic so it dries and hangs better that's interesting what's gone I mean that's he's got that's gonna be C I'm not sure what what product he's talking about but there's all kinds of dryers so I'm not sure which one he's he just broke EB so I'm not sure so Shawn Crowley said I used a bad product the customer had a head to paint the wall five times so that's a question for you guys because that's why we are here with you right now is because we do want to create an environment where we are all letting each other know what the best products are so that we could have success and provide for our families and so you know do you use your customers paint we don't typically do that but we kind of did because of this it's like we want to give every product a fair chance yeah so that was why solely yeah that's you bring up a good question too and the customer I already had the product is they've already been painting their trim themselves brushing and rolling at all and they said they have problems with it running afterwards but they only had it and I'd already have bad experiences with in the past and told myself I'd never spray it again my life but I didn't want to take off where he it left off and start using a different product cuz you might have a different in color color difference or sheen difference so I didn't want to risk that so I was like you know what maybe the product has been reformulated and maybe it's different now and they made some adjustments because I have heard some and seen some good things about it you know in other areas you know online social media so I was like I was like you know what I'll give it a try and so this time I mean very interesting so I was very specific when I sprayed it I told John you have the fog coat this felt really fast and so I fog coated it really really fast and I was like that's how you got to do it if you want this stuff to come out and it's still even just fog coating it it ran everywhere and so you know on you know like the temperature in the room or I mean will you sign or how what I used to spray the product before I used to sprayed a lot before and because I used to use it a lot I got accustomed to using it and all the problems I had with it but I would always crank up the temperature inside the house to you know 75 to 80 before I started spraying aside get the temperature up really high and so that would you know help it you know dry a lot faster and when we were painted it was inside person's house it was probably about 70 degrees but it was raining outside and I don't know if that contributed to maybe some humidity inside the house and there was on exterior walls the trim and I don't know if the walls were not insulated very well but you know the walls that the trim felt a little bit cool but still the products that we use on a regular basis would have never had that problem ever well I think you know that's the thing is I'm glad to hear that some people like it a lot of people say agree with you that spraying it's totally runny but I think you know that's that's the whole point of this environment it's like you want to figure out what works best for you because you may be used to using that and you may try another product and realize oh I don't have to work so hard yeah just a pro classic yo is just runny like a runny nose runny Sanders says it's sad when you fought coat and come back and spray again and it runs yeah that is I coated it in it ran on the fog coat so that's how bad it was so yeah if you saw I did um because there was a video of us rain and on Instagram and I was shown it and you can see how fast I was going and that was the Fargo is crazy but yeah so but we can talk about something somebody wants to know they said Markie have you tried that is Mike Markie premium um somebody said Markie was really good now somebody's saying it's not so good I haven't tried marques McCormick on Douglas Jones pre catalyzed poxy over oil finish so pre catalyzed epoxies like the the waterborne there's a waterborne one that's really good product a pro industrial pretty cat it's a really good product and you even if you're going over an oil-based finish I would still have a tendency to probably prime at first you know instead of just putting that over the top of an oil-based finish so yeah anything over oil-based finish you man you got it you got a D closet or you really need to sand it or prime it one of the three so I have a shout out to so does spray and paint create static electricity that's a very good question so I'm static electricity when you're painting or spraying like volatile products we just rating lacquers oil be some oil based products because they have paint thinners in them that are flammable lacquers they're flammable like denatured alcohol or products that have each other like shellac so those type of products you definitely need to be aware that they could spark and cause a spontaneous combustion so using for instance like a great go handheld your ultra sprayer there's the great wrinkle ultra is for you spraying flammable products and the Graco the ultra max and then the ultra in the handheld your ones first brand flammable so if you're spraying with your like a tightening 440 and you're spraying thinner products you gotta make sure when you're unloading it and stuff when you're spraying it to keep your gun grounded and the machine should be grounded but not that's when you're cleaning it out and you're running like tons of paint thinner through it so little a few of it you know a few of the products we haven't done the shine and they are so we haven't done the ground yet for the the gun that's gonna be down the road here but they throw ball makes good products they do make really good paints and so Cheryl well Williams makes some good paints and then like Pro fasiq some really bad pains so I'd so pharoah is a higher-end paint and I would compare it more to like maybe super paint or I wouldn't cashmere is a really really good paint so how about maybe they're tight life right there give it to him right over there just Justin trying talked about you know products and stuff and so you know test we've been testing out a lot of products and it's a matter of finding you know what works for you and in and obviously you know in your area like you know somebody speak like Marky there's a lot of we don't have very many paint stores so we're very limited on what we can get you have to do a little bit of work to it's not convenient but I think it's important it's super important to you know be able to try different things out and know that maybe there's something better on your working I mean what's the motto work smarter not harder work smarter not harder you could ever not smarter you put a thing on Instagram if people don't know we're on Instagram what is it I don't know what your Instagram what your instant they don't said he was 52 and people like surprised that you're 50 to 150 years strapping young boy still yeah cuz I said I was 52 and ask people everybody else like how old they were and self-existing people posting or ages and stuff so 52 time you try strong some somebody said they tried to Pittsburgh paint and really liked it have you tried spraying with timeless rocky PG PG make some really good spot shows do a little bit of more work to go try them out um in Emerald urethane Trillian trim enamel sell emerald so there's a good question PPG makes a really good product called on breakthrough if you want a good product for cabinets doors PPG breakthrough is a fabulous product it covers very well dry is really fast as a nice-looking change really hard bonds really well it's a great product I really like it emerald urethane trimming animal we really like that too so if that bonds really well hangs really well it the only problem with it is is it dries really slow so we're really accustomed to spraying trim and being able to mask on a trend the same day and start rolling walls in rolled your thing you can't do that until the next day so it dries really slow but there's a bigger job where you're not doing everything the smaller jobs you really need to mask the trim but it's it's really it's really really good it here is really good so in the finish look amazing so George says also
