TIS THE SEASON.....GOING TOPLESS ON THE FARM
What happens here
The presenter attempts to open a bag of rye grain seed using a Gerber Center-Drive multi-tool, but the knife blade breaks. Expressing frustration with the tool's failure, he switches to a reliable Victorinox Swiss Army knife to open the bag. He then loads the rye grain into the Scotts pull-behind broadcast spreader, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the spreader's gate is completely closed to prevent waste. After attempting to spread the seed with the Gator and pull-behind spreader, he finds its performance unsatisfactory, noting it 'barely spits seed out.' He decides to abandon the pull-behind spreader and switch to a Groundwork hand-crank broadcast spreader for better control and coverage. He fills this hand spreader from a large pot containing the seed.
Goal: Overcome equipment issues to prepare for effective seed broadcasting.
