Initiate the Cut-In Stroke

What happens here

Position your loaded paint brush against the wall, a couple of inches below where you intend to start your cut-in line. Instead of starting directly on the line, begin your stroke here and then smoothly 'cut into' the edge, gradually moving the brush upwards. This technique helps prevent excess paint from accumulating right at the trim or ceiling line.

Goal: Begin the painting stroke smoothly and precisely towards the cut-in line.
