What happens here

This project demonstrates a quick and simple 'hack' for electricians or DIY enthusiasts to determine if a brand-new circuit breaker is functional. The process involves flipping the breaker to the 'ON' position and then firmly striking it against a hard surface with the terminal screw side facing down. A functional breaker will 'trip' to a halfway position upon impact, indicating its internal mechanism is working correctly. This method is applicable to various circuit breaker brands like Square D, GE, Siemens, and Cutler-Hammer.
