What happens here

Unpack the butcher block countertop. Measure the dimensions needed for the benchtop, allowing for a desired overhang (e.g., 1.5 to 2 inches) beyond the front of the cabinet. Use a track saw to precisely cut the butcher block to the marked dimensions. Apply construction adhesive to the top edges of the base cabinet and carefully place the cut butcher block, ensuring even overhang. Secure it from underneath using screws driven up into the butcher block.

Goal: Unpack and cut a pre-finished butcher block countertop to size, then install it as the benchtop for the entryway cabinet, ensuring proper overhang and securing it to the base cabinet.

I found so for 180 bucks at Lowe's I found this butcher block now typically people put this stuff in the kitchen I don't know why cuz this stuff is stained some of them are not but this one is stained um so what I figured we'd do 180 bucks is not bad to spend I'll probably spend that much money on Lumber to make it match and glue it up but this is already perfect so I'm going to trim this to size and see if we can fit it in there I'm also going to give it maybe like an inch and a half to 2 inch overhanging because I want a deeper bench but you can still sit on while the coats are hanging and all that jazz good oldfashioned paint tape trick nice clean cut the woods not bad I'm curious what kind of wood it is but I'm not a big fan of this stain enena has been growing on this whole Walnut color stain so I think she'll like it she doesn't know this yet by the way so it'll be fun to see what she doesn't like about my build uh it is not a Mr Builder project unless something goes wrong and uh it did I didn't catch I didn't catch the fact that uh this Butcher Block is not deep enough for where I need it to be uh ideally I'd like it to be right here minimum so we could cover the drawers drawer f bces and as you can see there's a big gap um what to do what to do what to do I have an accent wall that I'm planning and I think that might just do the trick what kind of accent wall you're asking let me show you so here's my master plan
