Tight & sealed in seconds. #truck #equipment #repair #tools #shorts #bluecollar

What happens here

A pre-crimped butt splice connector on a pink electrical wire is placed into the yellow SpliSeal tool. The tool is then closed securely around the connection. A black sealant stick is inserted into the Surebonder hot glue gun, and the molten sealant is injected into the tool's cavity until the butt splice is fully encapsulated. After an indicated curing time of approximately 45 seconds, the tool is opened, revealing a neatly sealed, waterproof butt splice connection. The finished connection is shown to be robust and ready for use.

Goal: Create a durable, waterproof seal for a butt splice connection.

Tools and materials

  • Butt splice connector — Electrically joining two wires (already crimped)
  • Electrical wire — The conductor with the butt splice
  • SpliSeal tool — Holding the butt splice during sealing and molding the sealant
  • Surebonder hot glue gun Surebonder — Melting and injecting the sealant
  • Hot glue stick — Encapsulating the butt splice for waterproofing
