This Makes Fractions Stupid Easy

Here's how to find half a fraction when you guys are out in the field. Let's get after it. Say you got 10 and 5/8. Divide the 10 by two. You get five. Keep your numerator the same. Keep it a five. Take that little two here. Add that little two here. You got 16, right? Cuz 8 * 2 is 16. So, half of 10 and 5/8 is 5 and 5/16. Easy day. Now, what if that was an odd number? Let's run it. So, that's an odd number. Let's say uh 19 and 3/8. Bump this 19 down to an 18. You ain't got to be weird about it. Let's divide by two. That gives us nine. This is where shit's going to get kind of froggy. So, 3 + 8 is 11. Take that little guy. Multiply it by two. Give yourself 16. So, half of 19 and 3/8 is 9 and 11/16. Follow for more.
