This little thing was the problem...but what's stuck in it?
What happens here
Position a white bucket or appropriate container beneath the fuel filter assembly to collect any drained fuel and water. Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully open the drain valve located at the bottom of the fuel filter's water separator bowl. Allow the fuel and separated water to drain into the bucket until only clean fuel begins to flow, indicating that most contaminants have been removed. The drained liquid may appear dark or cloudy if water and debris are present, or reddish if a fuel additive is used.
Goal: Remove accumulated water and heavy contaminants from the fuel filter.
