THIS IS OUR FARM...A WORK IN PROGRESS! LET'S TALK!

What happens here

The primary method for land restoration involves strategic mowing. The creator explains that he will mow the field twice a year (in spring and fall) to cut down the broom straw and other vegetation. This practice allows the cut plant material to decompose on the ground, returning vital nutrients to the soil. The goal is to build up the soil's natural fertility, thereby minimizing the need for commercial chemical fertilizers. After several years of this nutrient cycling, he plans to use a seed drill to sow new pasture grasses. Once established, lime and some fertilizer will be applied to further enhance growth, enabling the field to be used for hay and rotational grazing for cattle.

Goal: Improve soil fertility and prepare the ground for new pasture grasses by cycling nutrients naturally.
