What happens here

Begin by hand-threading a new metal coupling nut onto the clean sink basket threads. Next, prepare the new plastic tailpiece by sliding a new slip nut and a new rubber washer onto it. Apply Megaloc multi-purpose thread sealant generously to both the new rubber washer and the threads of the new metal coupling nut installed on the sink basket. Ensure the washer is properly seated. Then, carefully insert the new tailpiece into the sink basket connection.

Goal: Attach a new metal coupling nut and a new washer to the new tailpiece, then apply thread sealant before inserting into the sink basket connection.
