(16,547 characters)We've got a new trailer coming all the way up from Texas and Caesar's been on the road for 5 days and of course wouldn't you know it just the moment he shows up Mother Nature just starts to hit us hard. But it's going to be an awesome video so let's dive into this one. All right guys, it's been an exciting day. We're down at the storage yard and we're waiting for the new trailer to show up. Yeah, it's miserable and the guy Caesar's coming all the way from Texas in this stuff. He's been on the road for days now. But as I'm down here at the storage yard it looks like the boys have been busy. Check out how big this pusher is. That was on our big Hyundai. We're done plowing. We and we got snow coming this Sunday. Of course everything we have now is back down at the yard. We've got the excavator lineup. We've got our Kubota loader, the Mecalac loader. I call that the snow dozer. It's got the It's got studs on the tires. Studs make such a difference. The ASV's down here, our old dump truck, the freight shaker's down here. And we got a spot just for the new trailer right there. So Caesar's going to have to back that bad boy up and squeeze her in but hopefully he's doing okay in this nasty weather. Let's go see what we've got over here. Got all the front mounted plows off and sitting pretty. These all got to go inside. Everything's getting washed and going inside. Oh, there she comes. What a beaut. What a beaut. I love them multi-colored trailers like that. Hey Caesar, how are you my friend? Good good, yourself? >> Good to see you again. >> Yes, sir. >> How was the trip? Pretty good. Was it? >> had a good trip. How did she tow? Now the tow test to me is one of the most important things that just determine how well this thing is going to handle. And I always like to get in front of a trailer and get a feel for it behind me so that's why I'm going to ask him right out of the gate how is this thing hauling down the road. You just spent 5 days towing it. How does she handle? Really good. Yeah? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah? Pretty easy or a bit easier than the last one, right? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. This one This one isn't that tall. I think that that has something to do with it. >> Right. Yeah. Yeah. How big of a box is that now? That's a 16-ft box and it carries 16 yd. It's a 16-yarder. Okay. Well, we do got to get it parked. You see that spot in there? Yes, sir. Right next to the orange one? Yep. Can you back her in there? I'll give it a try. I think so. >> All right. >> Yep. Those goosenecks are are a little different. Either you're a gooseneck guy or you're a bumper pull guy. I and it doesn't seem like you've like to switch between them. I'm just telling you from I'm a bumper pull guy. I'd rather have a bumper pull any day of the week but the gooseneck puts a more tongue weight into the actual bed of the truck so it makes it just your your ability to handle a bigger load is there with a a gooseneck. And once you get used to driving and backing up a gooseneck I've seen guys work miracles with those things. So if you're a gooseneck guy and you got it dialed in, you probably prefer a gooseneck. I don't know. You tell me if I'm right or wrong on that one. Love to hear it. And of course he picks the worst time to come. I don't think it could rain more but it might. What a gorgeous setup. Oh, it's going to look beautiful behind the truck we're building out right now. It's going to look awesome. This thing's going to look absolutely awesome. Yeah, looking good now. Yeah, looking good Caesar. Looking good. Much better. Yeah. Come on. You're doing good. Come on. Don't hit the front of my my dump truck. There you go. All right. Hey, good enough. Good enough. Yeah, good enough Caesar. Good enough. All right. So with these this is your disconnect lock right there. Slide it over and lock it in and that's how you make sure you're disconnected. That's the SX See the safety catch. Even in the rain she looks pretty good. What do you guys think? You like that color pattern? Do you like that red, gray and black? >> Our roll off is better than others so What is it? What So what it specifically makes your roll off better than others? Well, first of all, on the gooseneck that we have the spare tire drop. And that's a standard feature. It's not an add-on. Okay. So all the goosenecks that Through Haul builds come with this fully standard. Okay. So you don't have to crawl up there to get your spare tire down with your tools. >> Show them. Will you Can you show them real quick? Can definitely do that. Just don't let it hit you in the noggin when you when you drop her down. Yep. So you take the pin out and just take this pin out. Drop your spare and just like that. Yep. There's no need to crawl up there with your tools and get your bad tire up there and get your good tire down. So that's simple. And you're not crawling under the trailer into the mud and snow and nastiness either so Yeah. even in crappy weather like today you can at least get at your spare tire. Yep. So that's feature one. The second thing would be our kit here. It's a you know, a lever we have designed into the gooseneck that operates our coupler. So you don't have to crawl into your truck bed. Do it Do it another time for me, will you Caesar? >> Yes, sure. Yeah. So that's another feature. Again, that's standard on all our gooseneck trailers. Following me here our box is designed with a wider floor. So most boxes in the market have a 5-ft wide floor. We have a 6-ft wide floor due to our overhanging design from the rails. So what others do is they bend up their wall right here Okay. and that gives them a 5-ft wide floor. The way we designed it you have 6-ft wide. Now you can also roll equipment into it not just you know, trash. So you So this actually is a dedicated equipment hauler as well as whatever else you want to use this for. >> Actually, so this comes standard with 7-gauge floor, too. Okay. Because of that, right? So you can haul more than just trash. Okay. Yeah. This This specifically is a 16-ft roll off. Mhm. >> We offer a kit that you can use where you can install 14-ft boxes on the same trailer as well. That kit costs you about 250 bucks. 250 to $300 probably. Okay. And that kit is going to, you know, allow you to haul 14-ft boxes on your 16-ft trailer and it installed in 10 seconds. 10 seconds? You're not You're not uh I'm not exaggerating. We have a video on YouTube where you can look at how easy and quick it is to install. Okay. So if a guy gets a bigger trailer like this Yeah. and he wants to haul the smaller the smaller boxes, it's not a big deal though. No, he can just go to his closest dealer, grab that kit, you know, put it on his trailer. Takes 10 seconds to install and you're ready to haul 14-ft boxes as well. Okay. Yeah. What about your winch system? Tell me about that. We use an 18,000-lb Warrior winch. Okay. That's going to do all you need to haul your boxes on there. 18,000 lb, right? Uh you don't need more than that. >> And a Warrior winch is a well-known name brand winch and if anything does go wrong you can easily replace these. Yeah. Uh you can order them online. I know that. I know that about the Warrior winches. >> And they do have a good warranty cover them themselves as well so you're well covered with a Warrior winch. Okay. >> Yeah. Okay. And I'm looking at the extra heavy-duty clasp that you got on there. Yes, sir. So I mean I just It's a lot of little tiny things that you can easily overlook if you just breeze by these trailers and you don't look closer and then you live to regret you live to regret it cuz I have a friend that has done that. He didn't buy one of these and he brought his trailer over and he's his trailer's already uh after just a year and a half he's having problems with it that I never had with my trailer at all. Yeah. So tiny thing like that they point, you know, make the trailer better in in general, right? >> Yeah, what else should we know about these? >> So on our box we have actually designed it with a slam latch system in the back. Right? So this is fast, simple. You don't have to, you know, then spend a lot of time closing the doors and they always work. So you open like that. Mhm. And close. And so show me one more time cuz I want to do it I want to just show them how it right here. Go ahead. Go for it. So that works like that. Mhm. So as it moves slides up and over right there. Yep. It just closes right like that. And then you're done. And that axle pulls everything together. Yeah, this just a safety. Don't forget to put that one on. Mhm. Don't want your doors swinging open on the highway. Okay. So yeah, that would about wrap it up. Okay. But those small small details they make our roll roll off better than >> Now is there if a guy wants to put the flat deck feature on it like we had with the last one, is there an adapter kit or is that a seamless integration? That's a seamless integration. It's just like the box. You just buy the flatbed roll onto it and you're done. And that's it. It's There's no other There's nothing else you got to do with it. What axles are these? These are 8K axles. 8K 8K axles. So, this is a 16,000 lb trailer. What is the empty weight of this trailer? Empty weight, I wouldn't know that off the top of my head, but that should be somewhere around probably 6,000 6,000 lb probably. I think Now, there's a couple things that Caesar breezed over that we really need to dial in and the first one I want to hit on is that seven gauge floor. This is significantly better than the industry standard, which is typically a 10 gauge floor. A seven gauge floor is skid steer grade, heavy duty contractor grade, where a 10 gauge floor that you'll typically find in a lot of dumpsters is medium to even light duty gauge. But now, the empty weight of that can vary depending on the floor thickness. An average DuraHaul trailer carrying a 16 yd 16 ft box like the one in this video can vary anywhere from 4,200 to 5,200 lb empty depending on exactly how you spec these out. But with those two 8,000 lb axles, that means the carrying capacity, the overall weight that this trailer can handle, can go north or higher than 11,000 lb, which is significantly better than what you'll typically find inside of the industry. And it's these little tiny details that DuraHaul puts into these trailers that can easily be overlooked if you're not really sure what to look for. Let's dive back into this video. Here. So, in here is just your essentials for the most part. You do have a a lockable toolbox, right? So, the key's right there. You have two Interstate batteries, your KTI hydraulic pump operating your lift system. And you got the controller for your war warrior, you know, winch. There's the wire and the wireless option on that. That's standard as well. And then you have your charger, right? So, you can charge your, you know, batteries with this with extension cord and you can see you're good right now. So, And you'll it'll charge while you're driving as well. Yeah. Yeah, it's good. Pick the charge up as you're going down the road. Yeah. So, for the most part, your essentials over there. And then put on top of it, you also have the cover which is protected as well. Yeah. So, I mean, I've got other dump trailers and the cover's left wide wide smack open and when you go to use the dump when you're, you know, filling it up, Yeah. you're catching everything in it. Where with the DuraHaul, it's completely encased and covered, so you're not getting that exposed to the not just the elements. I mean, because I've used plenty of these things. It's not just the elements, it's the actual material you're loading into it. Yeah. And then pretty soon you're you're not if you're not careful, you're hitting it and now your your cover bar is bent and you're snagging it and it's like Cuz sooner or later you'll have to replace your actual tarp and everything and that cover prevents you from that. Mhm. Yeah. Yep. Do they have any tie-downs in the inside of this? >> Yes, we have four D-rings welded onto the floor on the inside. You just want to see if you can We have four D-rings welded into the inside, each of them. Uh and that is for you to, you know, tie down whatever equipment you want to put in there, too. And I'm looking at a one-piece floor system. Yes, sir. I don't see any [music] central welds down the middle of it. So, we have done that in the last couple models that we've already made like in the last 6 months probably, where we have done one-piece floors and one-piece sides for added quality on all our products, including dump trailers, [music] roll-offs, you know, other products that have a floor in them. Is that new? Well, it's about 6 months ago that we integrated that as a standard feature across all >> so that would be new since the last one we've gotten from you. Yeah. Okay. So, they have made some changes to these since the last Yeah. since the one I owned and then the last one that we ended up giving away. Yes, sir. Okay. >> Yeah. Now, this is where Chad really comes in handy because it'll break down exactly why you want a one-piece system versus a multi-piece system. And it says it'll give you better structural integrity, leak resistance, and long-term durability. Plus, it's much stronger under load. It doesn't allow the the blacks itself to tweak and twist. You have no seam fatigue or cracking, better sealing against moisture and debris, smoother dumping, so especially clay-based loads or sticky loads don't tend to want to stick to a multi-surface bed, higher torsional rigidity, stronger weld continuity, better containment, improved corrosion resistance. And it goes further to say that a multi-piece floor wall is a patchwork armor, where a one-piece floor wall is a continuous armor plate. I think Chad did a great job of breaking that down for us. Bottom line, a one-piece floor and sidewall system is primarily about eliminating weak points. All right. And I think another quick thing to mention for someone considering buying a roll-off, Yeah. uh our boxes are interchangeable with most other brands. So, that's important. If you're going to look at buying a roll-off, you want to make sure that the rails are 60 in. Okay. Or now you can put any other brand boxes on here, too. And our box will fit on any other brands' roll-offs as well. So, you're not tied to one manufacturer in case, you know, there's the availability or, you know, stuff like that, right? >> Okay, so if a guy already has a number of boxes, this should universally retrofit with other brands of boxes, but you want to check the width of the rail system to make sure that you're you're just you're good to go before you go ahead and do that. So, the standard one is 60 in from inside the rails. 60 in and that's going to be what PJ, Big Tex, Horizon, Raw Max, DuraHaul, and some other more other brands, MaxD and other brands are using as well. >> What is the value of this trailer? The value of this trailer would run somewhere around $20,000. Okay. Like like we're seeing it here. Okay. Uh including the features and everything else that we just saw, right? >> Okay. Okay. Good to go. Good to go good to know, good to go. All right. Anything else, Caesar, before you head off to Idaho? I think that about covers it. All right. >> Yeah. Good to see you again, my friend. >> For sure. All right, you guys. Well, we got this one for you guys, so hopefully you will one of you guys is going to check out the the drawing that we're doing. We're going to be hooking this up to a red Ford F350 dually. Okay. Uh it's going to be a nice setup. With this this truck this trailer combo, it's going to definitely be sweet. And uh putting it inside the Dirt Monkey shop. But uh I'm going to let you hit the road cuz you got a lot of nasty driving to do. Thanks, Caesar. Appreciate it. For sure. Good to see you. All right. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and uh best of luck to you guys. I hope I hope this changes one of you guys' life cuz that's why we do these things. Uh it's been a real joy and a pleasure to be able to to do this. This is our fourth one and good lord willing, it's not going to be our last one. We're just going to keep going as much and much as we can with these things. But that's it for this video. God bless and go get them, you guys. We'll see you on another one.
