What happens here

This DIY project details the process of replacing or installing new PEX stop valves under a kitchen sink using stainless steel crimp rings and an Apollo crimp gun. The instructional video covers critical steps such as safely shutting off both manifold and main water supplies, disconnecting existing plumbing, precisely cutting PEX pipe, securing new stop valves with crimp connections, and finally, restoring water flow while checking for leaks. The importance of proper crimp ring placement and gradual valve opening is highlighted.

We're going to be using these stainless steel crimp rings and this Apollo crimp gun. Once you get your crimp, it actually has a little blue light that comes on. Let you know that it's good. I bought this little key for a mana block pecs manifold. I have to go back deep into a closet. Shut that off. It is so hard already breaking. This is the main water line coming in. You can just shut that off right there. The water's off. So you want to grab a crescent wrench or a basin wrench or some kind of wrench. Slide these over. You want to position your ring in eighth to a quarter of an inch from the valve. Now when you see that blue light, good to go. That's good. So now we've got our valves crimped. We've got our valves off. Let's go turn the water back on. Open up the kitchen faucet. Slowly open our valve. We've got water running here. Open it up the rest of the way.
