The Ultimate Hole Saw Game-Changer Revealed
What happens here
The innovative mechanism of the PushPilot is explained. Unlike traditional arbors, the PushPilot only drills a small 3/8-inch pilot hole through the material initially. As the hole saw cuts deeper, the pressure from the drilling action builds up against an internal plunger within the arbor. Once the hole saw fully penetrates the material, this stored pressure automatically pushes the cut wood slug forward and out of the hole saw, eliminating the need for manual removal.
Goal: Understand how the PushPilot automatically ejects wood slugs.
Tools and materials
- Hole Saw — As part of the assembly to illustrate the mechanism
- Pilot Drill Bit — The initial drilling component that guides the hole saw
- PushPilot Arbor PushPilot — Demonstrating the internal plunger and ejection action
- Wood Slug N/A — To show how the slug is ejected by the mechanism
