What happens here

Load a tube of paintable caulk into a caulk gun. Carefully cut the tip of the caulk tube at a 45-degree angle, making an opening that is just large enough to create the desired bead size for the gaps you are filling. Apply a continuous, even bead of caulk along all internal seams where the door frame trim meets the wall, and any visible gaps between individual trim pieces. Immediately after applying the caulk, smooth the bead with a wet finger or a damp sponge for a clean, professional finish, as demonstrated in the video with a yellow sponge. Wipe away any excess caulk with a damp cloth to prevent accumulation on the trim or walls.

Goal: Seal gaps and create a smooth, continuous surface for painting
