out but tempies me but we will what did what he said so was it good or bad that Philadelphia won the Super Bowl it was a great game we got to see it at some friends house and then we got to see it at the hospital and then we got to see the ending house so we saw in three different location you got to listen to it on the radio on the way in between all those places so kind of cool so and mom and we had my brother-in-law injured himself last Monday and he's with us right now he was supposed to be going back to California yesterday but he got a blood clot so make sure if you get an injury pay attention to your body because we're thankful he's still with us yeah that was a close one yeah he's not flying for a couple more days yeah so we have we are very thankful to have him here yeah we got company so Carlos Garcia says he hopes he wins today Oh what are we gonna win we're gonna give away a couple paint lie pots so and we're gonna be giving away some I hope and home-improvement how-to not gonna spray the whole garage door I mean if it was like a single man door it would be but you'll have to load it up twice probably just spray the garage door but instead of breaking out a whole purchase so um this stuff is not cheap yeah let us know if you've used this stuff I mean look at the box I've never bought a Festool before yeah and John has been bugging me to buy a Festool sander yeah so um I went out and bought one so and I have to say I've never even held one never even touched one life and I went down there to woodcraft and bought this thing and you can see the sticker is right on there this little palm sander is it better than that one do you know this is a pump center how much there was over $1,000 this little palm sander was 400 for this little thing right here so $400 for this palm sander it's a battery-operated palm sander and I haven't even tested it you can see it's brand-new today not this one we use a different tool that we bought oh the plane x like the drywall sander that I'm the big full sander thing okay so on pretty cool so I'm pretty excited to test it out and use it so I hear a lot of good things about it if you use these things I know some of them I think it's like XA painter or family man or some one of those guys that I see all the time they have all singers yeah I just know if that was a smart investment order John was pretty excited that I wouldn't got it so yeah yeah so there you have it got to figure out how it goes into this complicated box okay so Alex lon so 16 reasons that organic all week exteriors and February are crazy over in the UK I think he's a very popular painter somebody said murca is just as good festival increases their price isn't that what we tried in the UK so the murca I did test the mercury I liked it the planets the pole sander that Vestals makes I just got it and I used it today and I shot a video using it both John and I used it on an emergency no the Festool okay and but I tested the America over the UK and I'd have to say I tested them both only like very shortly and I liked the market better oh I really like that Merc at mirko's amazing but that best tools was awesome it was anybody's serious brushes before so Dwayne de Wet sent us and stuff you know he's very popular or the UK he was gonna come see us in but he was at the opinion and decorating show the UK and he was teaching some classes there and stuff I think you're gonna like these brushes here we go the proform what do you think yeah um it's a nice soft brush there well some dusk in it that's interesting it's got some dust the Hat this is the handle style I do like so the round Farrell's the dogs in there and the dog probably should be gone very distracting so my dog art McKenna our middle daughter took her dog back to college with her so we have Sarah in here because she might be a little sad yeah I mean so far these brushes look look good hardwood handles the finish on is you all sanded not it could be a little bit more polished on the sandy the I like the cut of the bristles you know rounded the taper is pretty good be interesting to see how they Katya that's a really soft brush right there kind of interesting is gonna be cool the Testament Jenny yes we have v-neck shirts in the store an apt of res rest can you spray gloss it's really UK yes you can spray gloss Worcester one of the things that we've been testing out brushes the even the Coronas of Wooster's some Picasso's and stuff and the Wooster's got more of a flat profile definitely makes cutting in a lot easier with a flatter profile this rounded profile this is a little bit less rounded than a Coronis I think if I cut in better than a corona yeah it feels really soft but so probably for thinner paints like cashmere something like that so or even paints like PPG breakthrough or something so kind of cool I've never even heard of them so we're gonna give him a test thank you very much - Wayne - wet you said he like watches us and stuff I don't know how he knows about us but he's a lot of people over in the UK yeah I mean this is where we're part of the paint life community and so yeah if you have any questions you know we want to answer them for you John is on the other end I'm answering typing answering I can see he's been answering stuff now so Aftab says do you water it down as it is thick he's talking about gloss paint yeah yeah so gloss paint is gonna be a lot thicker um flatter paints are typically you know cuz of the acrylic resins in them and stuff you're gonna make them gloss or getting thicker and thicker I would say the airless sprayer is and stuff that we use in the glosses that I use I've never watered them down I've never water I'd never water down latex paints and so it all depends on the sprayer you're using yeah what unit you're using if you're gonna be running into an HVLP without a doubt you gotta you got to thin it down I wouldn't then down with water I would thin it down with like a latex I am extender satellite X extender but aren't it like the bigger other spares you're not gonna have a problem you know putting that stuff through when you do begin to water it down if you you know that you start adding water it could degrade the quality the pain slow down dry time which could be good it could be bad so you want to know what he's spraying with what tip he's using III always side on you know never watering anything down never cutting it and I like to take the paints you know anything we do and I like him to just go straight on without cutting um with that said I mean we always our lockers or typically always cut them like 25 percent step but it all you know it just depends on what you're doing so Steve's in-house peanut doing I should bring her in here I don't know we've been doing a lot of cabinets lately yes it's been you know cabinet when painting winter so you got any questions you know cabinet painting and stuff that's fresh on our minds so you'll just go ahead and ask them we got two people we got you got me live you got oh but he said that that she was beautiful sir spare spare you are Rick Gonzalez says our spare guns interchangeable with other spares so air laspeyres the gun is interchangeable with the spares so we have great guns we got titan guns and then I've used other guns and the guns are interchangeable on airless pairs and the tips are interchangeable you can use a titan tip like on a great gun you just have a habit guard that goes with the gun because typically on the guns they have a universal thread on them and so a great go guard will go on a titan gun or a spray tap gun so that's pretty standard and typical so so after have so today's using the 115 Wagner you know what that's comfortable because Wagner and tightness Bogner not 'nor yeah I um you know I have to I'm trying to think that 115 because I think that's a smaller unit and I liked you I think you know I think a small is gonna here we do have goats it's gonna you're gonna have to thin it down like a really small pump you know like a titan 440 a great go 395 you're not gonna have to thin it down but I have to do a little bit of research to see you know how the pump size and whether it's a you know piston pump or diaphragm pump or some and you typically like you get cardboard or something like that and you kind of you know thin it down a little bit with the latex extender spray it and then until you get the right consistency yeah you always want to start it out on the little side and just start adding as you go and spray some obviously if it's an airless sprayer it's got a cycle through the whole hose you know before you get to the product that you thinned out but you know I would probably start out 5% and then go to 10% and then and work my way up there but on a latex paint and I wouldn't want to be getting you know rhythm then anymore like 15% I mean I would but you know what if you're gonna run a latex paint like that through an HVLP sprayer you're gonna have to thin it down like 25% or more yeah somebody just came on barred better he wants to in the Greco sprayer so if people don't know that we're giving away a sprayer confused one guy you know just recently and you have to be a subscriber to our YouTube channel because I wasn't getting trace okay so if you don't subscribe to our YouTube channel some rules a little bit of rules rule well like some yeah that's a rule hey you just said yeah you just cuz you got a business subscribe and then you can once your subscriber to our YouTube channel you can enter there's different things if you want more entries you can do just it's kind of a fun thing you got to go watch the face but so you don't have to if you don't want to but normal everyday life says how do you clean out dried paint out of an airless gun tip on latex paint out of the tip itself if you're and that's a hose or some like that it's Rowan but out of a tip we just keep our tips in lacquer thinner if it's dry put it in a corrected like inside the tip usually Val Acker thinner will be hot enough that it'll soften it up and then you know take it how you know after it's been in there for quite a while put it on and then reverse it and you know squeeze it both times reversing it in and all usually blow it out so so like I mean should you leave it overnight an hour like I'm a few hours typically for it to work its way to soften it up enough overnight would be good you can soak in simple green we always keep them in lacquer thinner paint thinners not going to be hot enough if it's dried paint thinners not going to soften it enough enough to to get it clean there are so like some of the brush cleaners you can soak them in brush cleaner and it'll do the same thing but a tip is like 40 you know forty dollars or even more so sometimes you wanna they're worth it to clean they're expensive they're very expensive but they do wear out fast I mean you know they last you know 40 gallons fifty gallons at most so thanks so much for being with us because I know it's late and you've been staying up really late because you got a new I went to bed last night at 4:30 in the morning so actually I went to bed this morning yeah and then the night before I went to bed at 4:30 in the morning so yeah I said I can't it's all plugged in okay I bought it on a Mac he bought a Mac and so this little thing right here I'm not sure if anybody knows how much these little things cost but the whole this whopping setup was three thousand seven hundred dollars so I can bring you guys better videos and edit my videos so we want it we want to improve our business and we want to improve that that part of the business - it's any suggestions it's crazy when it cost to make videos yeah yeah yeah yeah cool so um you want to give something away Chad says have you ever painted laminate laminated countertops um I have once a long long time ago and I've used an epoxy and you can rust-oleum makes a product that you can paint them with and now what I recommend doing it no you know but in I've seen them done and I've seen them they look you know good but are they going to last like a regular countertop but if you're on a budget and I mean you have $100 or less and you can't afford to replace your countertops can you do it yeah you can you can paint tile with the same product I
