it's just work we're we're on Facebook live but I'm not sure how that's gonna work out because every time we try to do it it just keeps shutting I keep shutting off and doing weird things but um we're back we're here and it's good to be back happy new years everybody and yeah hopefully you had a Happy New Year hopefully you had a really good last year yeah so yeah that's kind of yeah exciting to be starting off in New Year we're starting it off with a bang because we're already over our heads with work some kind of crazy but there's a lot of people here so let's say hi hi Ryan that's all he was we're set up and we're gonna be in the Graco booth at the PDCA painting and decorating Contractors Association puts on I think it's the the largest painting and decorating show or conference in the nation so yeah Galveston Texas we don't know a lot about the show because we've never been there yes if you have let us now we know it's not cheap to enter to go to the show it's surprising um it's like a $600 just to go do attend yeah so it's really cool because we're gonna be there and I'm gonna be giving away a sprayer and I'm giving away in this fair I tell me what I'll show you I'm gonna be giving away a great go ultra handheld right there in the booth so the only way to get it or to win it is to be there at the Graco booth I told them in order for me to be at the booth I need to give away something for money man so I need to need people to come see me so they gave me a spare to give away and guess what Graco gave me a sprayer another ultra handheld to give away on my website yeah said neon nights have wintergreen I don't know what does that mean I don't know Andrew why would you do that to us you make us look down I'm not Riddler I am very smart we do have people are asking what's tonight's show belt we have a couple different so tonight's show um yeah we should have said that like in the very beginning but tonight tonight's show is about organizing your tools I'm gonna give you some tips and tricks about organizing your tools three tips and tricks about how we go about organizing tools which is very very important and so um we can talk about that right now what is the importance of organizing your tools and say having an organized van and to me I know I've never seen this one painter a long long long time ago we were painting right next next to him and his van was next to ours and we were actually paid in the same house he was doing the inside and I was doing the outside and I never they had their van doors open and you could even like you literally couldn't even get in the door it was just wall dish smashed everything and I mean you couldn't climb in there you couldn't get in the van and I was like I don't know how they know or how you can get anything and so on to me having a very clean organized van or our tool system however if you are a truck or on or on trailer just having it organized you can get to your tools very fast very efficiently and you're gonna be able to paint faster and be more efficient at as a painter and what does that eventually mean I mean it means you're just gonna make more money and so I know at the end of the day I'm sometime at the end of the day we long times we work long days twelve hours and nobody wants to clean the van we want to just throw the crap in there and just get home because we're just tired and exhausted and yes we do that sometimes but I always try to like instill my guys if you don't do it at the end of the day at the beginning of the day when you show up to pick up your vans and stuff and we all keep them at the same property on our property you know just start the day with fifteen minutes just just slow down don't get in a hurry to head to the job site just throw and just say okay let's get this thing clean and organized and get it ready to work and I'm being organized you can always see everything see what you've got because I've made the mistake of driving here and driving all the way to McCall which is two hours away and I didn't have a roller once to do an epoxy floor and so you drive two hours away and you don't have a roller and now so time is money now I'm like you have to drive a long ways away because in the mountains there's no local you know paint store that's really close so you have a clean efficient van it's it's gonna um it's gonna save you time it's gonna not make you frustrated I know there's nothing more frustrating than having a new guy that doesn't know our system and he puts things and in the wrong places and stuff and you're trying to find this one tool and you're just tearing the whole van apart just going word is this tool and if you have everything in it's always kept in the same place if you tell somebody round grab me you know such-and-such they can find it like right off the bat like a hand mascar or even you know one of these scrapers a carbide scraper I mean this thing can get lost in a big box man really easily but we have specific places for everything for every toy no everything has a home everything as a whole it goes back in the same place every single time and so you know that's the importance of having an organized van having an organized trailer or having an organized truck you know you're just faster more efficient less frustrated and they're just gonna make money so for that we would like to see what does your van look like what does your organization look like how do how can we see that yeah it's um it's really cool but post share pictures of event so I I've in the past took him pictures of the back of my van and input them on Instagram and I've put them on Facebook and so you can take and just share you know they can put it on there and tag us on Instagram so we would like to see it because I would like to get some ideas organizing our vans and stuff because I mean we have a good system but it'd always be better so if somebody sends us a cool picture of their organization but we maybe send them a sticker we may you know what that's a very good idea say send us on if you got a really really cool system and it really stands out and I mean we send out stickers all the time I mean you're following us on Instagram which is Idaho painter or Facebook the ideal painter we're always giving away stuff and we're doing live shows we were live show out the field today with journeyman John spraying both John and I we're spraying today and in making videos and giving away stuff and for us I mean it's the beginning of the new year and so Chris and I had a big ending of last year and we decided you know we wanted to do a lot of traveling so in February we are going to the National paint and decorating show but also you know talking about goals and so that's what you know we want to talk about organization and goals tonight because usually if you don't have a plan you don't have a goal you don't get there you know so what are your goals for your business this year you know do you want to hire more people do you want to grow do you want to learn any specialty painting any using new equipment what are your goals and what are you gonna do to get there so on we do have you know you can just see Lisa and I here but there is more to this team there is John journeyman John he is my question he's on at home on his computer and he's answering questions here crossfire thank you very much Jenni Jenni just gave us a super job so John is answering questions on I believe he's trying to help on Facebook and YouTube and then we do have our beautiful social media manager McKenna and I think she's on here helps us answering questions - I didn't somebody say you know up here you know like about supplies and stuff and nothing nothing's worse than running to the store for supplies and yeah and so what part of having an organized van and being able to see everything right in front of you we keep all of our paper and one on one shelf all of our tape in another shelf and then and so you can see all these things and so you can open up your van go okay I need paper and we keep we I don't have my guys run to the store we have a shed that and we store stock our shed with everything and so the guys aren't spending time in the paints or if they need paper if they need tape if they need caulking it's right in the shed they grab from the shed they stock the band and having that stuff and in your own storage facility and buying it in bulk for one thing buying in bulk it saves you money I save a lot of money buying it in bulk from share rooms I always wait for the bucket sale which is a 35% off sale and you get 35% off stuff and that's it and it's you it saves you a lot of money versus your contract or discount and so and and I'll buy like I don't know like you know 60 cases of copying and you know 30 on cases at tape and so the tape is always stopped in there you need to be able to see your essentials your paper tape and caulking you can never run out there you don't want your your um your employees you know spending time in the paint stores there's long lines they could be waiting you know for 30 minutes for a roll of tape or even the paint we don't like to spend a lot of any time in the paint store it's kind of funny because we just run and grab our paint and walk out and share Williams you know just takes care of us and we don't have to worry about waiting lines and signing the receipts and stuff um well I am I'm going to show that tonight so we're gonna talk a lot more about you know I'm organized I got some really cool tips about how we organize our vans and and just it's an interesting system that I came up in with and you know kind of just like my Martha Stewart like in me you know that whole thing well your Martha Stewart needs to do something about your honey and stuff in the kitchen so that the Martha Stewart the need just ideas work man's not using it using Tupperware containers and stuff and I'm for some reason I like we're like everywhere I'm not related to Martha Stewart or anything I know customary or tough we're not sponsored by Tupperware nothing but I there is the systems where you have these metal shelves and metal drawers and I just force I mean for somebody I don't like all the clanging and and stuff like that and I'll tell you why I like Tupperware in here in just a minute I want to show you this is nice this is cuz of everybody that's following us on Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube it's it is from its fan it's from YouTube but um so this is really cool I mean I've wanted one of these things for a long time and I worked really hard in the Ares get this and I learned about it several years ago that you get this award when you get a hundred thousand subscribers on YouTube and and I heard that this award is not cheap on somebody that received one that has over a million subscribers you know told me it was the cost YouTube over six hundred dollars that make this thing and so um just I like to know that YouTube is spending some money on me and value its so but I think it's just I don't know it's it is kind of I mean we are human beings we would like to be rewarded for you know what we do in our heart efforts and stuff and so um it's kind of : is I'm kind of bummed that the letter got bent I don't know how because I was gonna bring the letter but YouTube right now you typed up this letter and so and they sent it to me and I know it and it has um Susan Wojcicki CEO of YouTube and she signed it and I'm sure she said Robert stamp from her secondary I'm sure she didn't actually sign it but not like not many people get these things and so that's kind of exciting and here it is no that's dog hair I'm here because we have four dogs so look at this here here we go there's my YouTube award and on the wall it's it's I know it's bright glare and on here and stuff but it's a um platinum button and so it says on the Idaho painter congratulations on passing a hundred thousand subscribers and then it says on there in it's in a glass frame and everything and the button is just absolutely amazing it's now there it's all felt and everything it's they didn't YouTube has done an amazing job with these things and it's really cool and I like it in the case and everything in the case but I do want to hang it on my wall and just yeah it's really cool thank you very much YouTube for Sam and guess it was interesting because on Instagram I posted a picture of it and the picture has absolutely blown away every picture I any picture I've ever put on Instagram 100 lights it's like 1,200 1,300 likes or some point how so thank you YouTube and for everybody that watches us because there's no way that I've even had that award if you guys weren't subscribing to me so yeah thank you so um a couple things what did we don't open we opened uh uh Oh what do you mean what did we open start we didn't open us stores I mean it's finally open the paint life's or will we sell these hats our very own hat so you finally got the system dialed in where I can buy these hats cheap enough and sell them to you guys in a cheap enough price and the actual ones we wear in make it affordable and so you didn't have to go to like some Cafe Press stores and we got our shirts and hats and we're selling our stickers we just put on John Devon tonight two more stickers on our store you can buy all of our stickers now you just stuck on those two stickers on our store so there's new ones tonight we're gonna be giving away our paint life mafia stickers and our paint life stickers so we're gonna be giving away those tonight so stay tuned for that giveaway I'm gonna be giving away a colour muse it's kind of interesting because I bought this thing from my local paint store thinking I was gonna make a video of it use it and review it and stuff and I can never get around to it and they keep sitting around and so I'm just gonna get rid
