Extended Single-Tire Inflation & Overheating Test

Testing Cheap Tools That Hit or Miss: Does This $39 Inflator Measure Up?
What happens here
To conduct a more rigorous overheating test, the host intentionally deflates a trailer tire almost completely to 4.5 PSI. He then connects the generic LIVOWALNY inflator, aiming to inflate it back to 60 PSI. He starts a stopwatch to time this full inflation process. As the inflator works for an extended period, he periodically checks its temperature with the 'GENERAL IRT205' infrared thermometer. After approximately 10 minutes and 52 seconds, the tire reaches 60 PSI, and the inflator's temperature registers at 133 degrees Fahrenheit. He touches the device to gauge its heat, noting it's hot but not hot enough to cause a burn or pose a fire risk. He concludes that the review claiming it gets 'too hot to touch' or 'catches fire' is busted.
Goal: Assess the inflator's temperature during prolonged operation and its ability to inflate a tire from near-empty.
Tools and materials
- Cordless Tire Inflator — Tested for overheating and prolonged use
- Infrared Thermometer — To measure the device's temperature during operation
- Stopwatch — To measure the total inflation time
- Trailer Tire — The object being inflated from near-zero pressure
