stunning efficiency

What happens here

The skid steer with the attached Hydra-bucket is driven to an area with hard-packed soil next to a pond. The operator then uses the attachment to both pulverize and grade the soil. The integrated Harley rake component (rotating teeth) is engaged to break up the dense, rocky soil, turning it into a fine, loose material. Simultaneously, or by adjusting the bucket's angle, the operator can use the bucket's leading edge to spread and smooth the pulverized material, effectively grading the area. The video emphasizes that this dual capability eliminates the need to switch between separate Harley rake and bucket attachments, saving considerable time and effort on the job site. The process of 'grinding up the real hard soil' and 'pulverizing it' then 'smoothing it out all at once' is shown and described.

Goal: Efficiently prepare and level hard-packed soil using the Hydra-bucket's dual functions.

Tools and materials

  • Hydra-bucket CMPE Attachments — Performing both soil pulverization (Harley rake function) and grading (bucket function)
  • Skid Steer New Holland C332 — The heavy machinery used to operate the Hydra-bucket
  • Hard-packed soil N/A — The material being broken up, pulverized, and graded
