I'm electrician, I make about $300,000 a year, and I have a family business. I got my bachelor's degree in Rowan University in New Jersey, and after that, I went to trade school, did 2 years of trade school, and I became electrician. What does your day-to-day look like? We just go to people's homes, and we install EV charging stations at people's homes. We go to commercial buildings, we uh do power for data centers, and this is the future because everything's going AI. >> How much could you make in this field? Starting salary in this field, uh you can make anywhere, green they call it, is $15 an hour, but when you have your own company, you can make over a million dollars a year. How much is your equipment worth? I would say around a million dollars, uh with vans, tools, materials, electrical material's not cheap. Copper's expensive now, wires, uh it adds up. >> If someone wants to become an electrician, where do they start? So, I would just reach out to a local mom-and-pop shop, get your 4-year apprenticeship. Once you have your 4 years down, you can start your company and charge as much as you want.
