Once you have identified the "walking" direction of your roller cover, align it with the paint roller frame. The end of the roller cover that "walks" *off* when rolled in a particular direction should be the end that faces *away* from the paint roller handle when installed. This ensures that the rotational motion of painting will apply friction in the direction that causes the roller cover to "walk" *onto* and tighten itself against the frame, preventing it from slipping off during use. Slide the cover onto the frame and ensure it feels snug.
