Prepare Door (Remove Hardware & Mask)

What happens here

Carefully remove any existing weather stripping from the bottom of the door. Next, mask off all glass panels on the door and side lights using Frog Tape. This specialized tape is used to prevent the glaze from bleeding through onto the glass, ensuring clean lines. Although doorknobs are typically not removed for painting, for glazing and staining, they must be removed to ensure complete coverage. For old doorknobs, proceed with caution as reassembly might be challenging.
