What happens here

For a quicker setup, instead of creasing, take small pieces of green painter's tape and directly attach the loose, hanging masking paper to the wall or surface at a few strategic points. Position these tape pieces closer to the initial blue tape line, lifting the paper to form a shallower pocket or barrier. This method effectively creates a basic splatter guard without the need for a defined crease, still providing adequate protection against paint drips and light splatter.

Goal: As an alternative, quickly secure the hanging masking paper by simply tacking it upwards in a few spots with small pieces of tape, creating a functional, shallower paint splatter guard.
