What happens here
This video details various maintenance tasks performed on a CAT 259D skid steer. While the prompt requested a video analysis on 'Automotive > Battery & Charging System > Charging System Diagnostics Performing > Wiring Integrity Testing with Circuit Tester', the provided video does not cover this topic. Instead, it demonstrates the process of switching tracks (from snow to dirt tracks), cleaning the machine, removing old decals, modifying the safety sensor for the cab door, and repairing a bucket latch. The video showcases practical mechanical work and safety considerations for heavy equipment maintenance.

(6,748 characters)lately everything's trembling oh my shelters are opening this cat a virus needs a lot of work and the first thing we're gonna do is switch the tracks from our snow tracks back to our dirt tracks your horses it's too cold to read rate expressions them and we get it down to six minutes flat but we certainly didn't get it tightened up right away in fact this was the first bad idea we had they try to loosen up the Traxxas using a tow rope and a chain and if that thing snaps somebody's gonna get hurt I don't know Frankie that rope snaps it's gonna hurt somebody we've got to get the tension off the track so we're gonna lift up in the middle of the track to loosen everything up going in so he lifts up and theories we live [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so after we pulled the rope off from the track and we use the technique of lifting up on it to loosen up the the tensioner it worked out actually pretty well that second skid loader is almost a must if you guys are gonna try to change these things on your own so at this point I'm in the skid loader and what I'm being very careful of is where the tines to those Forks are going in to the track I don't want to puncture the track but I also don't want to hit one of the hoses that's on the skid loader I want to get it just right now there's nothing wrong with the tracks that are on the machine but I am trying to save them they're perfect for winter work and I know the demolition jobs we do will rip them and tear them up so I'm gonna put the old tracks that came with the machine back on just to save the new ones for winter snow plowing so what I got to be careful not to puncture are these hoses I'll try to zoom in on them a little bit or put a narrow item or something for you if I hit those with my Forks I got a lot bigger problems than just changing out tracks so as I'm grabbing the old tracks to go back on I know that both of the guys breaking Alex are gonna prep jump in there and pitch in right away to try to get these in place and I don't blame them because I'd want to do the same thing but I'd prefer if they stayed away and just let me work it all they got to do is get one of their nose pickers in the wrong spot and that these tracks jump it can mean a smashed finger that's not fun under any circumstance now cat nasb are the only two track systems that I know of that have a multiple rail system instead of having one Center rail which holds the track together they've actually got triple rails so the tracks fit in between them it means it's a little bit more challenging to get them on and get them off but I'll take that any day of the week because on sidehill stability you have a lot less chance of cowboying out of these things with those extra rails in place here's one of the Reg that's about as fast as we've ever done it so you can see the print today hey Alex do you remember where it was supposed to be at when you know you were tight thank you a couple inches of slack do they actually tell you that or what did they did they say anything different than what we're doing don't think that's exactly how I polish to do it use a bobcat okay when you want to track change the tracks on the caterpillar just use a bobcat so given the machine and look over the paint really isn't that bad it's not that scratched up but the stickers are the stickers are showing a lot more wear and tear in the machine than the paint is so we're gonna peel them off but I don't really know a good way to do it other than this [Applause] so once we finally get all the stickers peeled off it's time to give the cat the rest of its fat now this is really the first really thorough once-over we've ever been able to give it but you guys tell me what do you think does it look better with stickers or without but we've still got a front door to fix cuz it's never worked right and a bucket latch needs to be repaired all right so now we should probably call Kat and find out what we got to do to be able to take that door off and keep the sensor so there is a right way and a wrong way to take your door off and then to save the sensor and we didn't use either of those ways we use our own way yeah you should just be able to know we don't want the door period but with it off the boom arms will go up and down [Music] so the safety switch on the donor requires a magnetic connection to activate the sensor so instead of creating using a jumper wire Frankie made his own what came on the magnet to that well there you go and it works yeah works good nice long as we got a solution right what difference does it make what are we gonna do next on this thing this right here we're missing a cotter pin so this morning I just dumped it in there when I popped it off let's let's do that I don't got any yeah I don't know what kind of I don't know I think can't you just use a bolt that's a bolts here we'll figure something out I was thinking maybe just one washer not so that it's you know super tight but we've used bolts and washers to replace missing pins in the past and it works out just fine as long as the head isn't too fat and you can see we got one right here I don't think we necessarily need that we could probably get fired with the old thinking if we just had a over what do you think you wanted on the inside yeah I want one extra on the inside all right slide that up there we're just gonna get too long because then it'll catch so you got just a little bit of a little bit of play because you need a little bit kind of like this side but it's still fairly tight that's what's happening to Jake but he had both in him I didn't know that the tip of the wrench there was ratcheting and it's ratcheting so if you have it on the wrong way the other side of the bolt just spins yeah shut so that's why that's why he was like it's just sitting there when really it was spinning is that Owen we were working on the lawn mowing equipment yeah that's why I was just sitting out there that's why we weren't getting anywhere that was the problem yeah that's crazy Kim you can't tell no yeah looks like we've got something coming into the garage at night Frankie did you see that okay oh so who's been coming to visit yeah make something like the seeds girls must be coming in yeah so that's it there's nothing else that we got to do on this one all right you guys I don't know about you but here in Minnesota we were actually considered a non-essential service so we're just doing what we can maintenance to prep for the season because once it pops off its gonna be going pretty good so let me know what area you guys are in and if you considered essential or non-essential whatever you do just stay safe god bless and go get a new guys we'll catch you guys on the next one [Music]
