Cut Fabric with Blow Torch
At 0:00 in
So this is something that I am definitely torn on - What do you think?
What happens here
Prepare your work area by ensuring it is clear of any flammable materials and that you have adequate ventilation. Put on safety gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself from heat, sparks, and potential fumes. Position the geotextile fabric along the desired cut line. Take the blow torch and ignite it. Carefully apply the flame directly to the fabric along the intended cutting path. Move the torch steadily and smoothly to melt through the fabric, creating a clean, sealed edge. The heat from the torch will fuse the synthetic fibers, preventing the fabric from fraying, which is a common issue when cutting with scissors or knives.
Goal: Cut geotextile fabric cleanly and precisely with sealed edges.
