What happens here
After all pavers are laid and cut to fit, spread polymeric sand evenly over the entire patio surface. This specialized sand, when activated with water, hardens to lock pavers in place and inhibit weed growth. Use a push broom to sweep the sand into all the joints, ensuring they are completely filled. Then, use a plate compactor with a protective pad (to avoid scratching pavers) to vibrate the sand into the joints and further settle the pavers. Finally, lightly mist the patio with water to activate the polymeric sand, allowing it to harden and complete the installation.
Goal: Fill paver joints, lock pavers, and complete the patio installation.
