What happens here

With the plank held firmly in place and correctly aligned, the worker on the ladder uses a nail gun to drive fasteners through the plank and into the ceiling structure (likely the joists or furring strips). For tongue-and-groove applications, nails are often driven through the 'tongue' at an angle (blind nailing) to conceal the fasteners and allow the next plank's groove to cover them, creating a clean finish. Multiple fasteners are used along the length of the plank to ensure stability.

Goal: Once properly aligned, the tongue-and-groove plank is securely fastened to the ceiling joists or framing using a pneumatic nail gun.
