Single arm skid steer & how they work

What happens here

The host raises a concern about the machine's balance with a single arm. Kevin clarifies that the machine's weight distribution is engineered to compensate for the single arm. The cab, and even some hydraulic components beneath it, are intentionally offset to the left side to balance the weight of the lift arm on the right. While there's only one lift cylinder (compared to two on traditional machines), it's twice the size, delivering equivalent performance. This design also results in fewer grease points and hydraulic fittings, simplifying maintenance.

Goal: Explain how the single-arm skid steer maintains balance and performance.
