What happens here
With the slats prepared, begin the installation process. The video shows workers attaching slats to the existing pergola beams. For a dynamic pattern like the one shown, precise marking might be less critical than an artistic eye, but consistent spacing for certain sections (if applicable) can be maintained using spacers. Secure each pre-prepared wooden slat to the pergola's structural members using outdoor-rated wood screws or fasteners appropriate for the wood type and exposure. Use a cordless drill/driver for efficiency. Ensure the fasteners are long enough to provide a secure hold without penetrating through the top surface of the main beams. Work methodically across the pergola, ensuring each slat is firmly attached. Some slats appear to be offset or layered, adding to the visual interest. Use a step ladder or scaffolding for safe access when working overhead.
Goal: Securely install all prepared wooden slats onto the pergola
