What happens here
This video demonstrates how to level an uneven gravel driveway using a compact track loader (skid steer) equipped with a tooth bucket. The process involves identifying deeply rutted and poorly spread aggregate sections, then systematically using the skid steer's bucket to scrape, distribute, and smooth the existing material to create a functional and stable surface.

(7,002 characters)don't hire a jack leg to do your work for you guys if there's one thing we've learned and I don't know how many of you guys have learned this get a reliable referral for every job don't just go online and pick somebody my neighbor just got burnt we're going to go over we're going to take peanut here the little Gale rt210 and we're going to fix up a disaster that a gravel company left in front of my neighbor's house now this probably could have been avoided with a little bit better communication I'll show you guys what we got going on there's a bit of a challenge as it comes to spreading gravel over here so let's just get to the meat and potatoes of this we're going to hop on the skid steer we got to drive way over here to my neighbor's house it's a little bit iffy uh going by the road but I think we'll be okay so let's fire up the skid loader and head on over there we've got the tooth bucket right here from triel and precision manufacturing then this thing is going to do the job for us awesome there'll be a link down the video description to try L and precision made in America made in missoui missoui country contct clear prop I ain't afraid ain't afraid to get the job all ain't afraid Li times like this you mess up my my 10 is what you can kiss [Music] hat so we are there this is my neighbor's house great people and very very nice people um gosh always kill your neighbors with kindness I mean what what can you expect if you don't do that uh you can expect to have neighbors kill them with kindness even if you don't like them kill them with kindness but I do like these guys so here's what we got and I got to move these garbage cans out of the way real quick um and I can take you guys and show you the mess that's been made here so we'll pull these trash cans off the side of the road we're going to be working kind of close to the side of road I don't like to do that but that's just the way of it right now this is a dangerous spot on my road right here people top this hill people run this uh stop sign that you see over here and they've actually ran into some trees right here somebody lost their life there I hate to say that but here's what we've got going so this was what my neighbor paid for to have spread and you guys can you see this this is what he paid for man he paid to have a load of crush run gravel dumped and spread and we just got bare spots all in here bare spots all in there um um the dump truck looks like it got hung up right in there and guys the camera does it no justice that is a big rut so he can't even get his car in and out of here right now which is not cool um all the way through here we're going to have to smooth out it's probably 12 in deep maybe even 14 in deep we're going to give you a whole survey of this whole thing here probably I'm going to say 14 or 16 in deep right here now what the truck driver was supposed to do was back in right here and start dumping okay so they were supposed to back up to a certain point about right here and then start dumping and smoothly dump it all the way down through here now the problem with doing that on with Crush run or Crusher run or Road based gravel the problem is when you get ready to do that and it's wet it doesn't come out of the truck very good so if it was clean Stone meaning Stone without this debris in it this has rock dust in it okay it has rock dust in it millings is what they call it it's not clean Stone if it were clean Stone it would spread like butter but there is another hiccup in this and this is why I think maybe it was miscommunication maybe not a jack leg situation there is a wire can you guys see this there's a wire right there now as a former lineman in the air force uh and we worked on lines just like this this is not up to Snuff it's not up to code that is a wire that's 10 ft high that is not up to Snuff it's not up to code when he goes to plow his garden right here he also runs a risk of hooking his tractor the bucket or the canopy on this right here so I think he needs to call and have them bring that line up it needs to be up U I think it's about 10 ft I think it needs to be about 136 doesn't matter if if you guys let me know if you know the code but 136 is typically uh decent for uh for tractor trailer travel I can't even believe that he got the dump truck in here so to the guy's defense that dumped this out he probably should have pulled in dumped right here sprad let it all the way out right through there and then came let the bed back down came back out you know turned around back here came back out dumped all the way out to the road but that's a challenging dump that is really challenging so what we're going to do my neighbor hit me up he's like hey man I don't have any equipment to get this spread out I said you got kids don't you them kids ain't going to get out here with shovels and do that so we're going to take the skid loader and we're just going to doll this up a little peanut we'll do a great job at I think and uh so that's your before shot so you'll get a little bit of before and a little bit of after here's before [Music] a [Music] f [Music] get it took me longer to drive over here than it did to smooth that out guys remember right here that was just humps and lumps there was a two Tire Treads one there one there one there and one there so I guess that's four um smoothed all this out got a good transition into the road right here people were not slowing down for me can you believe somebody would see a piece of Mach Machinery working on the side of the road and not move over an inch not slow down not do anything people don't be ignorant tell me what you think post a comment down there guys we got it all smoothed out it looks nice my neighbor didn't want to be on camera but I can totally respect that um looks great I think it turned out awesome we actually gave him a little more driveway so the driveway stopped in a big hump about right here and uh there was a little bit over that way there's a little sidewalk going over to their house and you can see we got it from about here all the way up to here so they got a little more parking space pretty cool got the job done helped out a neighbor guys thanks a lot hit that like button tell me what you think should I've used a different bucket is the tooth bucket the right bucket for this or should I use a smooth bucket I do have a 4 in1 bucket and that is a gravel spreading monster guys let me know what do you think did I make a big mess or did we do a good job I don't know hit that like button tell me what you think there'll be links to other videos here at the end be sure you check one out we'd love to have you back here on the farm with us this is 150 acre first
