Install Roof Mounts for Pergola Beams

Setting Some MASSIVE Beams For a Deck Pergola!
What happens here
Begin by accurately marking the location for each roof mount. Use a drill to create a pilot hole through the metal roofing, then use a specialized hole saw attachment to cut a larger, clean circular opening. Insert a pre-installed metal bracket into this opening, aligning it with the wooden framing underneath. Secure the bracket firmly to the underlying structure using appropriate bolts. Apply a generous amount of sealant (such as caulk) around the edges of a rubber flashing boot and position it over the bracket to ensure a watertight seal. Secure the boot to the roof with screws, completing the waterproof mounting point for the main pergola beams.
Goal: Precisely install metal brackets onto the existing metal roof, ensuring they align with the underlying structural framing and are properly sealed for waterproofing.
