What happens here

This video features an electrician discussing a professional dilemma: arriving at a client's house for an EV charger installation estimate, only to find another electrical company already present and actively working on the job. He recounts his decision to leave the site out of respect for the other contractors, emphasizing that underbidding or interfering with a job that has already been awarded to another company goes against his professional ethics. The video concludes with the electrician soliciting opinions from viewers on how they would handle such a situation.

All right, you guys. So, I rolled up to my first job today, right? And there's another electrical company there working. It's an estimate for installing an EV charger. I see like two vans parked outside the client's house, and they'd been there for like a minute, right? They didn't just get there. And out of respect, right? I parked down the street, like maybe far enough down the street like the client can't see me, but I see the two vans. So, I'm like waiting, and I tell my dad, who's my boss, like this job could be nothing, it could be a bust, but I see the guy, and the guy walks out to the back of his van. So, I cruise up, right? I like I want to see like what's going on, and I see like he's getting some tools out the van. And like I pulled up, I told him like what's up, and like I said, "All right, like I'm about to peace." But out of respect, right? They're already working, they already sold the job, there's no reason for me to talk to the client, underbid the other electrician, or anything like that. I mean, the client picked and chose to go with that company. I mean, that's like that's the right thing, right? I I don't know if it was rude of the client have booked like three contractor estimates within 1-hour window, and I was the second guy. So, I told my dad the story, who's a master electrician, and he said just to go and leave. Like don't underbid him cuz it would just be a rat race to the bottom. But yeah, so I left. Like I wasn't doing that Let me know what you guys think. Like what would you do in this situation?
