Installing UFP-Edge VG Hemlock Ceiling Panels

Screen Porch Ceiling - Better Than Cedar!
What happens here
After electrical rough-in and marking, begin installing the UFP-Edge VG Hemlock ceiling panels. First, establish a perfectly straight line using a chalk line along one side of the ceiling structure. This line will guide the installation of the first row of panels. The 'end-matched' design of the Hemlock panels allows for flexibility, meaning joints can fall between rafters, which significantly reduces material waste. Cut the panels to length using a circular saw or miter saw. Secure each panel to the rafters using a nail gun or screws, ensuring a tight fit. Continue installing panels row by row until the entire ceiling is covered, utilizing smaller cut pieces as 'starters' for subsequent rows to minimize waste.
Goal: Install the wooden ceiling panels to create a finished aesthetic.
