Feather the spray closer to the edges of the obstacle, using shorter, more controlled bursts. You may need to change your body position or angle the gun slightly to ensure complete coverage without overspraying onto the masked obstacle. After spraying the general area, carefully move around the obstacle to ensure all exposed siding is covered, as demonstrated by the painter's precise movements around the vent in the video.
