Energize the Electric Fence

What happens here

With the fence wire tensioned and connected, it's time to energize the fence. Connect the negative terminal of the fence energizer to the ground rod using a ground wire and clamp. Then, connect the positive terminal of the energizer to the poly-braid fence wire using an insulated hot wire. Once connected, the fence energizer will begin to emit high-voltage, low-amperage pulses. Use a live fence indicator (tester) to confirm that the fence is actively charged. The pulsated electric fence acts as a psychological barrier, training livestock to avoid it.
