What happens here

The focus then shifts to a specific planter area integrated within the retaining wall structure. Approximately two feet of soil is placed within this designated planter space. Critically, this soil is separated from the surrounding structural elements and the main drainage gravel by a black fabric liner. This specialized fabric is carefully laid to act like a 'tub' or 'cradle', extending down into the planter bed, underneath the soil, and then back up the opposing side. This completely encloses the soil, preventing it from mixing with the drainage aggregate while maintaining its contained shape.

Goal: Create a contained soil bed for plants within the retaining wall.
