(4,540 characters)hey folks that fix-it guy today we're going to be changing out a leaking dishwasher supply line so I'll show you the tools used how to do that and I'll show you that I had an unexpected apprentice for the day so come along let's get the fixin [Music] the tools of material were using today is going to be this 3/8 by 3/8 48 inch dishwasher hose it's a braided flex stainless steel we'll also be using the 6 in 1 screwdriver to take the plate of the dishwasher off will potentially be using this small channel box and we'll be using the little small adjustable jaw to tighten up the hose onto the supply line and on the dishwasher 90 the first thing we're going to do when changing out the dishwasher supply line is we're actually going to shut the valve off we're gonna take our adjustable jaw and we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna loosen this well we're gonna have a little bit of water there okay we don't want it to go in there and so there we go and then we'll drop that down and we'll go down below okay so this is the bottom of the dishwasher where we're gonna be changing out the the dishwasher hose and so we're just gonna grab the quarter inch nut driver off our six and one I'm gonna go right here and just take these two screws off and we're gonna drop this panel out so if those screws aside and don't lose them and just pop this out right here what are you doing Oreo yeah so they I don't mind if you hang out and now he's trying to climb underneath the dishwasher you really don't need to climb underneath there come here I know I know you want to climb under there but I can't let you so right back here is this dishwasher 90 and it's setting the opposite way so what we're gonna do is we actually have got to get back here to this so now to get right back here so you can see where my wrench is and you gotta loosen that that's not gonna work so that's why I grabbed the little channellocks so we'll get these ago it's kind of loose already you always want to put a little bit of a towel down because you're gonna get some water it's a it's a positive it's positive water's coming and we're just able to get right back in here and hopefully or yo I know you wanna or you something like a cat but in your face it's a clean cat but it's just all up in my business I know okay it's okay okay I can be out he is just not even he doesn't even know what boundaries are it's good okay so I'll just use my finger like a little pipe wrench and it's definitely starting to come off now a lot of water here there we go okay so the majority of this line is in here so I'm just gonna put my thumb over the exit hole just try to bring any more water from coming out this out grab the new line you're just feeding it through the hole you want to make sure that's kind of pointed down so it kind of goes to the area that you want and then just let this side sit in here while we go back underneath okay so we have this under here a spider and I found this over here so let's just kind of get that over in the area that we need it once again trying to tighten this up so the most you can do with your hand I think is probably the best scenario once you've got that hand tightened then I'm just gonna hit it with the channel in the little channels a couple times so we'll make sure this is nice and tight under here you don't want any leaks so after we hook up the supply line underneath the dishwasher then we come back underneath the sink and we hook it up to the valve that it's supposed to go to on the hot side get that hand tight and we'll just take our adjustable jaw and we'll just go a little bit more past that and we can go ahead and give that a turn on okay the only thing left to do now is to actually put the cover back on but first we got to get Oreo out of there Oreo myPlan that hurts okay so that's looking good back there I was actually able to get back there to show you what it's looking like and it's sitting pretty good so we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna put the cover back on this and call good all right folks so that's how we change out a dishwasher supply line I always prefer to go with either a braided flex supply line or a piece of 3/8 copper tubing to do this job you do not want any kind of leak in that situation I really hope that everybody enjoyed my apprentice for the day Oreo I'll put a link in the description box below for the tools the material used if you can please subscribe my channel click the like button share with some friends it'd be greatly appreciated thank you and have a good day
