Apply and Smooth Sealant

What happens here

Load the chosen sealant, Sashco Big Stretch, into a caulk gun. Carefully apply a generous bead of sealant over the inserted backer rod, ensuring complete coverage of the hole. Use a finger to smooth out the sealant, making sure not to spread it onto any textured surfaces like stucco, as the sealant should blend seamlessly with the existing smooth finish of the soffit. Be very careful to create a clean, uniform line.

Goal: Seal the hole with Big Stretch caulk and smooth for a clean finish.
