Preparing the Temporary Fence Line

Regenerative Ranching on a Small Scale
What happens here
After driving the ATV to the pasture, the farmer opens a metal gate to enter the grazing area. He then detaches a spring gate from a permanent fence post, which marks the starting point for a new temporary fence line. He threads the polywire through a small loop he ties in the wire and hooks it onto a step-in post, explaining this is the 'pull point' for the line. He then drives the ATV across the paddock, unwinding the polywire from the reel, and manually inserts several additional step-in posts at regular intervals to support the polywire and maintain its tension. At the end of the line, he ties off the polywire to another step-in post using a simple granny knot, avoiding the need for crimping tools.
Goal: Establish a new, temporary electric fence line for a fresh paddock.
